This weekend, the Texas eSports Association and the Cyber Sports Network unite to present Lone Star Clash 2. The tournament will be held at the Marchesa Hall & Theater in Austin, Texas on November 10–11, beginning on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. CST.
Sixteen StarCraft II pros will duke it out for a part of the $15,000 prize pool. Over the past few weeks, fourteen players being invited to compete were unveiled one at a time, including: Johan ‘NaNiwa’ Lucchesi, Ilyes ‘Stephano’ Satouri, and Marcus ‘ThorZaIN’ Eklöf. Adding to the epic lineup, the final two players were determined through online qualifiers, where Quantic Gaming's Devan ‘Hawk’ Subramaniam and teammate Choi ‘TheStC’ Yun Sik picked up the remaining seats by winning the Collegiate Star League Qualifier and Twitch.tv Global Qualifier, respectively.
Rachel ‘Seltzer’ Quirico and Anna Prosser will be your hosts for the event, while Sean ‘Day’ Plott, John ‘TotalBiscuit’ Bain, and Alex ‘Axeltoss’ Rodriguez will be casting every counterattack, Baneling bomb, and Tactical Nuke throughout the weekend.
For those of you who will be attending in person, tickets are available for purchase here. You can also RSVP on the Lone Star Clash 2 Facebook page to stay as up-to-date with the event as possible. If you're eager to catch the tournament, but can't make it to Austin, check out the official stream.
