Patch 1.1 Is Coming

The first feature and balance patch release for StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty will be available next Tuesday, September 21. The maintenance period will begin at 5:00 a.m. and last until approximately 11:00 a.m. PDT. You can read all about our plans for patch 1.1 in the Situation Report.

Hey guys I got a fix for you all. Second time its happened to me and I remembered what I did last time. Open windows explorer and go to your starcraft 2 directory, go to Mods Folder, then Core.SC2 Folder, and remove the backup.MPQ ( Just move it to desktop or something just incase) Once its removed, start up starcraft 2 normally, and watch it finish updating!!! (it will make a new backup.mpq) and then launch fine.

I got the same notice when I tried to update to 1.1.2. I've tried running the repair utility, but to no avail. I'm about to settle with just grinding through reinstalling the game if nothing else works. Anyone else having the same issue?

Yea just do that, I just got it upgraded and started clicking on the PLAY button as soon as it hit 98%

well, you can just keep hitting the PLAY button or something like that as soon it hits 98%. I've had some problems with that too.

After upgrade 1.1.1 the login screen online not appears, and the game has closed automatically. Just offline I could enter now. Whats happen? How to solve this. Thanks!

Hey any info on the new update? I open SCII and the launcher says 100% then goes to the updater and sits on 0 saying "Waiting for files to close". Its been like this for 4 hours now. Any solutions?
I'm running 2.67GHZ quad-core core i5, 4GB ram and an ATI Radeon HD 4850. Been able to run any other game I've wanted at full setting. With everything loading in decent time. But his is just over the top.

@Seamonster: I was having the same problem. I checked my processes and saw that SC2Switcher was still active. Ended the process, restarted SC2, and no more issues. Hope that helps.

well, i've finished instaling my glitches, er I mean update and im geting an anoying flicker on my screen unless i turn my settings down to medium.
you'd think they'd test the patch at least once before releasing it.

opening sc2 a message appears saying "video card is not supported by starcraft 2" something like that. I can get in the game play single player but couldnt play a 4v4 with my friends i got a 2008 macbook wtf, before this i played out real fine

@Starscream: :( same thing here. Download starts and finishes then nothing happens in multi-player. My menus still work though, but mp doesn't. Hope 950 GMA still works.
