Reavers are really OP now. This is all you have to do:

Step 1: Buy Reavers
Step 2: Buy charge
Step 3: Buy 3 armor upgrades
Step 4: Buy Center tech
Step 5: Buy armor/damage whatever depending on your needs at the time

They are massive only so nothing has bonus damage versus them (3 base armor too!), they spawn every 6 seconds and have 500hp with high cleave.

EDIT: Oh i see what you did there..

Sigh...Marine Arena used to be one of my favorite games, especially back right after the 1.0 release it was fun and balanced. And now several months later..its well...not. Ive read this thread alot and also the marine arena forums and it seems like the massive infighting has essentially ruined the game. If people on the other forums are to be believed than kullwarrior is essentially suggesting changes that are making the game unbalanced. Whether this is true or not is who is the better lier but i digress. The game that used to require a significant amount of strategy is now simply, "who can get lancers faster" or "lol i got hybrids" Very few of the mercs are balanced to actually be useful and despite several releases this isn't getting any better, what the hell happened?

While there has been a fair amount of fighting in the last couple of months I wouldn't say thats in any way related to the state of the game. Crayon makes the call on all changes. The forum doesn't really change that.

And Kullwarrior has been a pretty cool guy the last few days.

Yet ironically the map started to turn towards it's current state after the board was created. Some people just don't like to take responsibility.

Sonoma likes to throw the word "ironically" around to boost the credibility of his statements:

The final responsibility of the MA map is Crayon. Buck stops at his desk.

As for Sonoma's sideline gripe, Sonoma did warn Ash that "if people get banning [mod function], I'll quit." That was his call.

Sometimes, Brutus, you just have to learn to blame yourself, after all, these faults aligned not in the stars.

Throw the word "ironically" around huh? that's a new one.

Here is something ironic: Sonoma left MA Board and work continued, train hummed along, and not a note from anyone who noticed. What even more ironic was how Sonoma gave that observation to Kullwarrior upon Kull's threat of quitting. "If you want to know how invaluable you are, try leaving for 2 weeks and see." (Emphasis added).

So here's a tiny advice: use ironic when there is some worth to go along with the rhetorical device. Don't be like those undergrads trying to sound 10x more intelligent by tossing irony references. Doing so would be ironic.

Desperate words from a desperate person. Oddly facts show differently.

anything else you care to try and fish your way out of? Aside from the fact of you continuing to come to this board you claim is a waste of everyone's time and not even worth posting too (yet you are).

Reading replies from above and back had been a continuous amusement. Facts don't "show" anything since they are inanimate. And "desperate"? For what? Dear Brutus, it's all you, PM you sent had been opened for the forum to see. Those messages sound truly desperate, like you want come back but not quite knowing how. This Blizz thread is for all who has a Blizzard account. So thank you for reminding me of my exclusive membership.

As for you, tis sad.

You must be referring to my email of truthfulness. What's sad is how you people are getting pleasure out of being hypocrites. Either way, it's not my loss nor yours.

My statement above is dead on.

Truthfulness? Hardly. Truthiness, mostly.

MA Game and MA Board are bigger than any single entity. The fact that it hums along, glitch and all, underscores its resilience. Alas, Sonoma learned that MA and its website are fine after all this time.

What sky is falling? What doom is impending? Neither have happened.

WTB more talk on the game itself and not on this moderator gibberish.

Crayon, is anything being done about splash in general by chance? Air is possibly the most vulnerable to splash damage itself, and you need to tech hardcore into armor to stop simple splash from wipeing out your army.

Really? Why should he care? Just delete your bank file in Documents\Starcraft II\Accounts\[Some number]\[Another number]\Banks.

It's either MyBank2.SC2Bank or bank605.SC2Bank in one of these folders there.

Once that's done, you'll be unbanned. Enjoy!

EDIT: Oh, and don't bother replying. I have no intention of returning to this thread. :)

yeah... i tried this in three different games (i have found that almost 70-90% of ppl use stalkers) and... it works ok for a while, but quickly becomes inefficient...

perhaps the stalker being "beginner friendly" is a bit misunderstood... i have seen PRO players using them, saying they are OP, i agree that they arent OP, but that its too easy to win with them...
i am not an expert player or anything, but i play often and i win about half my games, and when it comes down to it, i found that even if you play 125% and give it all you got in micro and strategy, it doesnt mean crap against someone else using a little bit of micro and using the easier units

PS: you'd think there would be an edge for using micro over easy units...

Tried playing again, tried out reavers for the first time ever and had a lot of fun with zergling play. Even got a few good games in where stalkers were absent. One game I won final opponent gg'ed and said he was glad it wasn't stalkers for once.

I'm sure its being suggested, and number crunched before, but I would love to hear why lancers are anti bio (countering just about everything early on) instead of something like light (which I think would only be marines, lings and zealots?), thus making them more of a specific role like most other mercs?
theres 4 light units... lancer isnt meant to counter ling or zealot, so that leaves 2 units. thats why. specific role you say, look at goliath having +armor which is 7 units or dest +light +mech which is 8 units...

plus are you guys even seeing lancers? all i see is REGULAR stalkers. no one buys lancer or shocker now.

Nice work, assuming that its all sound. We should spreadsheet this and move it to the forums with the rest of the unit data threads so people can get a good idea of what does what at max upgrades (currently).
