I've setup this FAQ/Q&A thread specifically about the website and this particular forum to hopefully cut down on the amount of similar questions. The WoW Website Forums have several stickies outlining some of the material in here, I thought we could use it here as well. Most of these responses have been gathered from Blizzard responses throughout these forums.
Since there is no BML page, i'm going to go ahead and list how the BML works here... Replace all <>'s with 's.
<b>Bold<b> - Bold
<i>Italics</i> - Italics
<u>Underlined</u> - Underlined
<ul>List</ul> (and <li>Bullet</li>) -
<item="id" /> - [item="09507" /] (Looks like 09507 is the first item ID, though I need to research this more. This is also a WoW only BML code.)

This forum is specifically to suggest website features. This is not a forum to post suggestions for the game service, or game itself. If you are posting a game suggestion here it will be ignored and/or deleted. That being said, Blizzard needs our help to make this community site truly epic, so they encourage us to report any issues we experience with the website in this forum. Before posting, though, they ask that we please use the integrated search function located in the upper right-hand corner of the screen to check to see if your idea has already been submitted by another player. Feedback and additional feature requests may be left here as well.
There sure are! You can read all about the various search parameters you can use to help fine tune what you're looking for: http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/blog/702413
Blizzard has stated that they plan on implementing a GUI for Advanced Searching sometime, but it has net yet been revealed.
The Web/Mobile Team takes care of this section of the forums. So far, i've seen the following posters: Osundir, dvd, Straton, Flywheel, Poet, and Korale. Just because they do not respond to a certain topic does not mean they haven't read it. Most times they're off working on fixing or adding features!
To give players greater control over their forum browsing experience, the new Battle.net community site now supports Simple and Advanced forum views. If you have the Simple forum option enabled, you will only be able to see a thread's title, page count, and author. By default, this is the forum option that will be selected the first time you view the forums. To display additional information about a forum thread including the last poster, total number of replies, and total number of views, please select the Advanced forum option located just under the character panel in the upper-right hand corner of your screen.
There is a new "REQUEST STICKY" button on the top-right corner of the thread that can be used. Crithto put up a short guide on how to use it: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/2353268142
The trending topics list takes into account the freshness of the topic, that topic’s replies and the recency of votes for that topic. Popular topics do expire after a period of time, but with that said, the current popular topics list includes some very popular content. A recent update also took into account each user's "most played" race, which means that users of each race will see different popular topics.
The BlueTracker does not function similar to how post history works, it does not just pull all Blizzard posts off the forums. When making a post, Blizzard Posters can choose whether or not to have that post tracked. If they do not feel like the reply should be in the BlueTracker, it will not be tracked.

Straton said it best here:
It pains me to say that right now, you can't really search for players. The system that we integrate with here on the web team doesn't provide us an effecient way to index character profiles and this is something that we are deeply ashamed. Having a proper profile search feature for the Starcraft 2 community site is something we haven't forgotten about, but I'm unsure of when we'll be able to have it ready for public consumption.
Currently, there is no public API for the Battle.net SC2 website/forums. If you want to gather any kind of data, you are going to need to make your own parser and figure out the structure of the site on your own. However, Straton mentioned that they are interested in some kind of API in the future: http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/forum/topic/2416201928 -- As far as an RSS feed goes, there is an RSS of the news: http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/feed/news
If Blizzard were to show this, it would give away their algorithm on determining how a thread is highly liked or disliked. On that note, Blizzard is still putting thought and research into what "karma" really means, and how it can be used effectively on the forums.
Blizzard has previously stated that there are plenty of places for Off-Topic discussion throughout the internet. They prefer to keep their forums solely based around their games as a whole. However:
We've been thinking about adding in a sort of 'geek' forum, it would be off-topic in that it wouldn't be about WoW, but it would only allow very specific topics you could discuss (movies, tv, books, comics, games, tech, science, etc.) and would be strictly moderated to only allow discussion on those topics.
There was a pretty big discussion about the true meaning of 54 here: http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/forum/topic/375108203

This is due to an issue with the Chrome Skype plugin. To stop this error message from occurring, simply disable the plugin.
Simply try logging in and logging back out. If that does not work, you'll need to flush your account cache. To do this, change something on your account: your password, e-mail, address, etc. Changing anything will reset your account cache.
Currently, this is a problem and should be fixed in an update pretty soon. Otherwise, you can try clearing your Browser's cache/cookies/temp files.
This is a current issue, as seen here: http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/forum/topic/2065788785
Yes, some of these pages are outdated. Feel free to post here with updates if needed, but i'm sure Blizzard is aware of it. The guide was written during the Beta days and has not yet been updated completely for the Live version of the game.
As some of you may remember on the old forums we had a thread limit of 501 posts per thread. The same limit existed on these new forums as well, but the functionality had been broken until recently. You'll begin seeing threads cap again at around 500 posts/26 pages. You'll need to create a new thread if you want to continue discussion.
There have been several reports of similar problems, which seem to be related to plugins/extensions, web security software, web acceleration proxies, or something else that may be modifying the page. Try disabling anything like the aforementioned to see if that helps. If not, you can always middle-click the login link at the top of the page, or right click on it to open in a new tab. See here: http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/forum/topic/628077868
It takes a little while for that data to expire on the web side of things. Once it expires, the forums fetch the data internally and it refreshes. It shouldn't be any more than a few hours, but no longer than a day.
Patch 1.3 removed the ability to see total games played and the amount of losses for players lower than the Master League. If you want to read the patch notes, see here: http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/blog/2514162

It is the Gem in the chat in Diablo 2 (and hopefully 3). It lives on Battle.net! In case you're wondering, it's working as intended and exceeding expectations.
