Where is the mod folder?

I started the first level, and when I lose a unit, I lose the game. How do I fix this?

I have the everything downloaded and in a folder called maps, but idk what drag to sc2.exe or a shortcut means, how do i do that???

when i click on the map its on sc2 editor

It boggles my mind how many of you can't follow simple instructions.

There is no Protoss campaign done yet.

It's fun, but for some reason doesn't really have the same magic feel as SC or Broodwar.
SC2 is next level, too hard to go back as much as I adore the original campaigns =)

True that it cant completely capture the magic, but hey, it gets pretty close. Besides, if you hated the 12-unit selection limit, no automine, etc. but loved the old missions and units, you'll love this.

I can play it, but as soon as one of my men die, the game ends. also jim raynor is nowhere. its weird.

You have to extract the maps to maps folder. then double click on an extracted map.

Here is what i did to get it to work...
1. go to starcraft2--> maps--> Terran07 (this opens editor and 7th level)
2. click yes when the data error comes up.
3. go to file--> Dependancies-->double click the mod if it is in text box already or click "add another" button
4. click mod, click ok.
5. mod should be in the dependancies now... click ok.(upon clicking ok, editor loads the new mod dependancy and some heros/units from sc1 will pop up on map)
6. file-->test document
7. Lastly: sigh of relief (as it has finally worked)... enjoy.




I have tried that, i also noticed that after all this, probably from opening and closing the map files, the mod file has changed icons, and its extension is now recognized, as supposed to when you first download it and windows doesnt know what to open it with.

I thought that perhaps since the extension isnt in the name any longer i should force it there, which i did and it did not help.

So again, the mod file aka the dependacy is not being run by SC2, why i dont know, but thats what is giving all of us trouble.

All we have to do is find out why and force it to be run. easy right ?

Any ideas?

hey guys i've put the sc1.sc2 file in my mods but whenever i load up ep 2 it says unable to load game and also with the terran campaign winrar comes up with an error message saying the archive is either unknown of damaged so i can't extract the maps can anyone help
