If you are having difficulty patching, please try downloading the 1.4.3 patch from here:
http://us.blizzard.com/support/article/sc2patch You can 'Run' the patch, or Save it to your Desktop or the StarCraft II folder, and then Run it. ________________________________________________ Account and Technical Services If the Forum isn't helping, contact a Support Rep directly: http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/company/about/contact.html" 'Black holes are where God divided by zero.' |

After successfully downloading the patch through the link available in the first post and giving it a go I get the following:
Blizzard Updater was unable to start up. Attempting to repair my SC2 installation comes up with no problems found. |

the only way i managed to play is in that instant it says play you click it and then before logging in you make sure to close the looping patch update or else the loop will kick you out again. worked with patch 1.2.1. anyone know how to permanently solve this. edit: http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/forum/topic/1020862194 |

My uploader stayed at 0% but the Updating status said Finished. When I clicked on "Play" IT took me to the main screen and faded.... this then took me back to the 0% uploader...
Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to attdist.blizzard.com For all versions of SC2 1.3.3 patch, I'm from SEA. That didn't work, none of them did. Went to 3rd party sites to try and download the patch, but they were 400-500mb in size. Repair.exe told me that I had to reinstall my game to play. So I put in my sc2 cd.... hit install, hit play. The uploader came up again and started patching properly. Takes a while to download, speed kind of sucks. But updated properly and works fine. Strange no? |

I am also getting this issue, already doing the "don't load on startup" and the "internet setting fix" neither of these are working, I had just played sunday night for 4 hours. just been happening today. did repair tool it finished without fixing anything. also DLed the patch on my own and getting the "Blizzard Updater was unable to start up.
This update requires the "North American English" version of this software. Currently the "<Pretty_>" version is installed." |
|
Guys, going to internet explorer (even if you don't use it) and resetting settings worked for me. Windows is really connected with internet explorer for online applications, so you can reset the settings by following this guide: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Reset-Internet-Explorer-settings
|
Doesn't help. |
|
Still getting this issue even with the downloaded manual patch
"Blizzard Updater was unable to start up. This update requires the "North American English" version of this software. Currently the "<Pretty_>" version is installed." Please.. figure out a work around blizzard. |
|
Is there a reason why this "manual patch" is 346 MB when the one from the auto patch was only 15.1 MB?

I got the same problem here. It dloads it just fine but after the files are dloaded, it just redloads them over and over again. The files just keep piling up in the sc2 folder. I quit the updater and start sc2: sends me to the updater and starts downloading another pile of the same fkn files... There's tons of threads with people having this issue and no response from the GM's. wtf...

I was having the same problems, but it finally worked after 15 minutes of "updates." It seems like it works when it wants to.

when i patch update to 99% it says:
The patch "bnet\Battle.net\i18n\ruRU\String\CLIENT_PROFILE.xml" could not be applied. (MD5 mismatch: expected 0x342167F16E25A8CCEE7B2CB313F82230, actual 0xE8833E8DF127803DF1E98E16DFE8A791.)(PTCApply_BSDiff failed.) If this problem persists, you may be able to solve it by uninstalling and then reinstalling the game. If you are unable to correct this problem, please contact Blizzard Technical Support. (BNUpdate::PTCApply) i tried reinstalling but it just repeats the same problem pls help... |
|
WHEN IT UPDATES IT DOESNT END.......... I HAVE A PROBLEM OF A PATCH LOOP WHEREIN WHEN THE UPDATES 100% it repeats its update and becomes 0% again.... Iwa ited approximately 7 hours and the update does not finish so thats why i thought that the problem was an update loop pls hlp blizzard..
