show losses
Get good enough to be promoted into Masters. Until then, you can expect one of three scenarios: 1. you have ~50% win rate (the auto-match maker works to anchor your win/loss to 50%) 2. You have >50% win rate and are climbing closer to Masters (this will be apparent as you get promoted into higher leagues) 3. You have <50% win rate (same as #2, except you'll be demoted instead) Unless if you've been promoted/demoted recently, we can assume scenario #1. Either way, win/loss doesn't mean anything due to the AMM pitting you against people of equal skill, which ultimately anchors your win percentage to 50%. Here's an example scenario: If you suddenly start winning a lot, you'll get placed against harder opponents (e.g. Gold League in your case, since you're in Silver). If you then end up consistently going 50% win against these Gold players, the system will say "this person is a Gold level player" and promptly promote you. If you keep winning, then you'll keep getting placed against higher and higher ranked opponents until you do go 50% in your games. Regardless, you'll always end up with a 50% win percentage. Why Masters is different Masters League represents the top 2% of the ladder. As such, it's in Masters where you finally hit the skill ceiling (i.e. it's possible for you to be better than everyone you face). Because of this, it's possible to eternally have a >50% win ratio, as the ladder doesn't have anyone better to pit you against. However, as such there's also no league above you with higher-skilled opponents (Yes there's Grandmasters, but that represents the top 200 Masters players at the start of the season; if you become #1 later on, you can't get into GM until the next season, unless you luck out and somebody drops out of GM due to inactivity; in other words, GM isn't as clear-cut "better" than top-level Masters as, say, comparing Masters to Diamond). In short, where lower-league players can be rewarded for >50% win percentage with a promotion, Masters doesn't have that. And thus they can see win percentages to gauge skill. At Silver, going 10-7 doesn't mean anything; you're still Silver, which means there's still a lot of people waaaayyyy better than you are at this game. The only reason to want the change reverted is to look at win/loss for the sake of looking at win/loss, which is silly due to what I said about the AMM. "Oh hey, I'm still 50%" *a week later* "Look at that, still 50%..." *a month later* "WTF I got promoted/demoted but I'm still at 50%!!! OMG THIS SYSTEM IS BROKEN" (that last bit is brought to you by the millions of threads that were made by people that didn't understand how the AMM -- or the ladder in general, for that matter -- works, and got confused back when they could see win/loss) |

Only the upper leagues should show Loss ratios, the reason is obvious if you actually play with other people who are just casuals.
1. People with too many losses on their visual record may just quit -- bad for Bliz-ness 2. People with high loss ratios may just try to cheeze everything, artificially inflating the lower ranks win/loss ratios.-- I know a few people who stopped cheezing and actually started climbing rank once the Loss score was removed. 3. No losses means that players on higher tiers cannot troll you on your number of wins. They already troll hard enough on your rank. |

I want to see my win freaking loss ratio!!!! I cant understand not showing it to OTHER people but not being able to see my own is just complete and utter BS

at the very least "allow me to see my own" should be enabled, it helps us see if we are trending badly lately or not, for those of us who aren't 150+ APM masters and aren't consistent and can always spot our mistakes as well.
I am sure the hardcore high rankers would probably want to see this too. But as I said if there is a an issue with other players seeing it, at least let us see it instead of try to keep track |

I'm in masters and I still think it's ridiculously stupid for the most competitive video game in the world to not show you your losses. Regardless if you don't play at the highest level, the game is still competitive for many people at their own level. |

1. They've explained why they took out the ability to see losses before Master league.
2. If you aren't Master league, it doesn't matter what your Win/Loss is since if you're still rising in rank/league you're obviously over 50% win ratio which is all you need to know. 3. If you really want to see your win/loss you can get SC2 Gears or just keep a tally like tGQueso suggested. Which by the way SMASH is not hard, just open Notepad and Type out your teams, 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4 in separate categories then after each game or after playing a bunch just mark them all down (through Match History or after each game). You most likely can play in Windowed (Fullscreen) so you can easily just alt-tab change the win/loss numbers and tab back in. 4. Win/Loss no matter how you look at it does not represent your skill, if you are still improving you should constantly be playing better and better players which means your win/loss should not be anything to brag about (51-60%). The only time it matters is when you're in Master league or higher since that is the last full league (GM is top 200) which means if you go 60% win/loss ratio you are definitely a good player. Excepts are always possible though, for example CombatEX ;-). |

shut up Aeruthus i dont feel like keeping track of it on paper and every other game keeps track of win/loss weather it maters or not i want them to keep track of my stats. and no one else say get in master league b/c i do not play every day. so its hard to keep track of everything

why shudnt we get to see at least our own win loss ratios... ive always used my ratio to set goals for myself to get better, that was how i pushed my self up the chain from bronze to diamond. when they took that away i no longer felt motivated to play the game any more and i quit playing for a few half a year and took up minny games instead. if they had kept it, i wud have never lost my motivation

I'll quote myself again, cause I see people don't like to read:
1. People with too many losses on their visual record may just quit -- bad for Bliz-ness These two outcomes are far more common than the ones who go the other way. |

Your win/loss ratio is ~50%. On average, you are better than Silver/Bronze players, but worse than Platinum/Diamond/Masters. How do I know this? Read my post above. EDIT: I did some quick research. In your past 16 1v1 games, you went 9-7, or 56%. Chances are if we had a larger sample, we'd see that % anchor even closer to 50. Behold, my predictions were correct. Source: http://www.sc2ranks.com/us/1938577/MemberFDIC EDIT 2: I decided to check the OP as well (SMASH). Lo and behold, what do I find? 1v1 = no games in past 25 games played 2v2 = 3-3 (50%) 3v3 = 9-10 (47%) Source: http://www.sc2ranks.com/us/278535/SMASH Seriously guys, read my post. This is why win/loss isn't shown. You're always going to sit around 50% until you're at the top of Masters league (or the very bottom of Bronze, but I don't think seeing win/loss of <50% is very encouraging to newbies). |
Dude, quit trolling. http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/profile/1530569/1/EpicPwnage/matches You were laddering even today. I dunno if you get kicks out of making lower-leaguers think like there's any value out of seeing 50% win ratio all the time, but it ain't cool. |
