UPDATE: If you are using a Mac and are still encountering 1.4.1 performance issues please respond to the Mac specific research thread
http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/forum/topic/3229085241

We have put a number of fixes in place to address the previous performance issues created by patch 1.4.0 but we will still need information from anyone for whom 1.4.1 did not fix their performance issues.

In order to assist in this investigation we're asking you to post your dxdiags on this thread if you have noticed an FPS drop since 1.4.1 so we can consolidate and compare reports.

Please be sure to mention whether you are using an SLI / Crossfire setup or not in addition to the following:

If you have a Windows PC, we will need the following information from your DxDiag:

To obtain a DXDiag:

Hello.

My framerate has dropped since patch 1.4 also, and it is still bad after 1.4.1. I used to have a 27-29 average, now I barely get to 16, making me having to turn the shaders to low (which dramatically decreases appearance). Resolution, terrain, texture, etc. DON'T CHANGE THE FPS significantly (1-3 fps), ONLY the shaders. When I put the shaders to low, my framerate goes to 29-30, all the time. Note: everything else possible (as with the shaders on low some other specs must be decreased too) on extreme or highest possible.

I run SC2 on Mac. I installed on Windows too, and I noticed a performance decrease there, too.

OS Version: Mac OS X 10.5.8 (9L31a)

Unfortunately, 1.4.1 seems to have done nothing... I'll repost my data, for the third time soon. *sigh* Thanks.

No lag on low settings before patch. Sound and graphics stuttering now, thought it was the alert fade feature but it did not fix it after setting it to 100%.

Although my comp is definitely weaker compared to others it did not stutter at all on lowest settings pre 1.4 and now 1.4.1, especially against a computer and not surpassing 30-40 supply each which I have just tested. Thanks for the help

Man, I was really hoping this patch would fix the problems, but no :( . Its such a horrible feeling when every second game in ladder I lose my entire army to lag... But its been so long and I really want to play...

The FPS is definitely better, but I still receiving messages that I should low my graphical settings to play even on vs AI games..... never received those messages before 1.4 patch....

Follow my data (my current VGA is ATI Radeon HD 6630m - Dell Vostro 3450)

After experiencing the low fps and surrender the game back to menu, it was not possible to start a new Player vs AI game. After selecting the map, the button to confirm does not work.

I'm still getting stuttering since 1.4.1. My FPS isn't bad (I've capped it at 60, and it does just fine)-- it's just at certain points, perhaps once every 10-20 seconds, when my game visuals freeze up for a second or two. It's very hard to play...

Problem still exists with path 1.4.1. Game play is totally normal until it's not (typically when I issue a unit command, or one of my units spawns).

OS Version: Mac OXS Lion 10.7.1
Processor: 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7

Without trying to complain too much, the game stutters so much (when normally all settings are on high/ultra with no lag or slowdown) during key moments (read: battles) it's unplayable.

Hope this helps.

Patch 1.4.1 did absolutely nothing for me, the game is freaking unplayable, it freezes completely for like half a second in any battle that is above 30 or so units, both in online multiplayer and single player against the AI. Pre 1.4 it ran silky smooth up to 4v4, I haven't been able to play since then :(

OS 10.6.8

ATI Radeon HD 2600
2 GB RAM

Game starts 4 seconds late, random FPS drops/waiting for server messages that last up to 15 seconds whenever the game is attempting to load some graphic or play some message, huge lag when I leave a long game so it actually takes like a full minute to leave the game, huge lag when I join a game after idling in the main menu for more than about a minute.

This is a copy/paste from the 1.4 patch issue thread. The matter has not been cleared up. It's apparent from the moment I load the log in screen that the game is not functioning as it did. Even the menu screens are hardly responsive. I am very unhappy to learn that this fps/freezing/shuttering issue was known and publicly declared prior to releasing the 1.4 patch. A bulldozer attitude toward releasing a patch with known issues has left me and apparently many others with an unplayable game. I don't feel that this is fair. Instead of making us wait, why not remove the patch altogether so that we can go back to playing and enjoying the game? You could then work on correcting the issues without keeping us from using the product - as should have been done in the first place.

No SLI/Crossfire.

Since the update, my gameplay has been severely hindered. During 2v2 matches, the game began to hop and skip. It was not consistent, but happened frequently without a discernable pattern/timeframe. It made controlling units in combat impossible, as battles happened in something like 5 frame blips. I tried lowering a few of the graphics settings, but it had no effect. I am unwilling to drop them to the lowest levels after having enjoyed the game without issue for so long. The game ran fine before with many mid to high level graphics settings. I really hope there is some kind of update patch or fix being worked over, because whatever was changed in the 1.4 update has kept me from laddering, much less playing, the game.
