I don't think Blizzard cares about lore anymore. This dude who could barely speak through the microphone managed to find flaws the very writers forgot.

Ever see Starship Troopers?

xD

Gah. Do not mention that movie. Read the book, and then hit Paul Verhoeven in the head with a shovel.

The movie was intentionally a big middle finger to the book, and rightfully so.

I still think the Thors in Breakout

That's a good point, too. Technically the Thor was Swann's creation.

Whew, thank goodness those two stopped fighting. Jeez, the point of this thread is to come up with plot fillers. :)

Here are a few of my own:
1) The vision of Zeratul was in the past, and therefore the Tal'darim probably got their dirty hands on some Colossus since then.
2) The Stalkers are probably some rouge DT's that joined with the Tal'darim and are now in smash and grab.
3) The mission Breakout and Engine of Destruction are not too far apart timewise. Thors were being produced from the Prototype, and Swann, as earlier posted, found out how via the Odin.
4) A few minor details, that are entirely unimportant, but where did the Civilians get the Molotov Cocktails from on liberation Day, and why does the chained Ultralisk on Piercing the shroud spawn broodlings?!?

Empty bottles, gas (or other flammable substance) and rags. Not hard to find in the slums.

How many years has it been since the fall of Aiur? I know it's been four years since Brood Wars onto WoL but that was after the original Starcraft. So...how many years between the Overmind and the start of Brood Wars? I would say that after 4 years, some protoss did not want to join with the Dark Templar and went off onto their own segment or had different beliefs.

Do you really think it makes sense that we have to read internet wiki for things in-game to make sense?

I don't. No. Call me lazy and corrupted by Supermarket convenience, but I feel it breaks up the flow and enjoyment of living through a story in a game if I have to go do homework on it.

Bleh.

I actually love reading lore about the game even if it's not in the game itself. There was one thread about why Mensk left Kerrigan for dead. I said it was cuz she killed his parents and that could be a huge factor involved. Also...There is not just Starcraft lore but novels as well. Now...If they could only make a movie.

I think the Jackson's Revenge (the mercenary battlecruiser) is a pretty major plothole, because there is only one and it can be destroyed at multiple points in the campaign.

Well...They could be a squad of them. Think there is only 12 warpigs that you can hire and yet, on brutal, you fight a few on the second mission. You also encounter a few siege breakers on breakout, some hel's angels, Hammer security...I am sure there are just more than just the ones you can hire. Other people hire them as well. Life of a merc.

There is definitely only one because the description says "This Battlecruiser dates back to the earliest days of the Confederacy. The Notorious vessel has been commanded by dozens of captains, all of whom either died in battle, or at the hands of the ship's villainous crew."

The description refers to the ship in the singular unlike the other mercenaries which are referred to in groups. which means that unlike the other mercenaries there is no plausible reason for it to reappear after it blows up.
