When people say terran OP, did they only say emp is OP?

When whitera said terran too good, did terran use any emp at all?
Does 111 have emp?
Do emps affect snipe?
Do emps affect all the options that terran has like drop supply, sensor towers, ranged units, harass units...etc
Do emp affect mules?
Do emp affect cheap op marines?

No, no and no. Terran will still be op, and this will not change the winrates at all. Even with the GSL format change, it will still always be tvt, anyone wanna place a bet?

Terran is not op ONLY because of EMP, it is because of many things. In fact, the majority of Terran units are OP.
HOWEVER, EMP is op by itself. Protoss has no answer for it in the late game. A 200/200 protoss army ALWAYS loses to a terran 200/200 army BECAUSE OF EMP. That's why EMP is nerfed.

I agree with you that terran has other OP stuff, but so do protoss and zerg. Zerg has infestors and mutas, and the "unstoppable" late game combo of infestor broodlord. Protoss has warp gate and colossus.

But honestly, nerf marines....

Terran benefits the most from high APM, which these GSL level players have. And in general, majority of Koreans play Terran anyway.

It's a start, and it's a good one. Everything needs to start somewhere.

But if you go to the Terran forums of course they are posting threads in caps screaming at Blizzard to revert the change. They even shout down fellow diamond Terrans for daring to say EMP still seems fine to them on the PTR and it isn't a big deal. I feel really bad for reasonable Terrans.

I am fine with the emp nerf, however I would like it to go back to full energy taken away so it's not so gimped on infestors. I would even be fine with giving temps a normal speed so they can at least split when they see a ghost comming to emp after a change like that. Terrans want a balanced game. Not everyone of them has to aggree with your idea of balanced.

I wasn't "sending trolls" to your forums, I was linking to a thread in caps followed by a bunch of hilariously TDS responses which include diamond Terrans being told off for daring to disagree. I know it's embarrassing, I'd be embarrassed too if those were my races forums, and I sincerely don't mean that insultingly at all. After the first bit your post was completely reasonable and I bet you'd get flamed to hell if you posted it as a new thread on your forums.

It's Terrans like you I feel bad for. There are plenty of you, but you get drowned out by the completely unreasonable ones who value short term ladder point gains over having a reputable, balanced game that more BW pros might consider switching over to at some point. The ones who are willing to post just about anything in obvious attempts to misinform anyone reading who doesn't know any better.

What part of "my idea of balance" do you take issue with? My posts are often quite neutral when I'm not refuting the ridiculous biased crud that a lot of people write on these forums.

My idea of balance is pretty simple, I think http://i.imgur.com/cGzPj.png is messed up. I think 58% of players to ever get to the semi-finals of GSL being Terran is messed up. I think people trying to deny that evidence like that indicates imbalance is messed up. And I think players like Bisu laughing at the thought of switching over to play Protoss in the GSL because of imbalance is messed up. That's about it.

I have Terran RL friends and I have Zerg RL friends, and I don't type anything I wouldn't debate with them directly. Luckily for us they don't claim silly things like that all of Code S should be Terran because Terrans are just better at the game, or that one race never even dropping down to 50% overall winrate once since launch is easily explained away as random chance.

I think this is very true and very much a problem. It's not that terran shouldn't benefit from micro, but the other races should benefit form micro too. Like way back when Spanishiwa was big with his no gas thing like 6 months ago, his whole thing was about making a lot of queens and trying to incorporate more micro into early zerg play because he was a WC3 pub stomper and missed that kind of intense micro play. Is terran stuff too strong? Possibly, marauders being able to stim, slow enemies, and do 20 damage per shot, marines costing nothing and being the best unit in the game, and that kind of thing might be too much dps output, but really terrans can do things that the other races can't. Terran has an answer to everything. 4 gate- gw countered by marauders and stim in general, collosi- vikings have gay range or emp + stim ##@#s death balls, baneings w/w/o speed- stim with stutter step micro + splits. How does zerg pull terran out of a defensive position and force them to make an attack? They can't because snipe and vikings range totally stops bl from forcing action. How does protoss deal with stim? They don't. So yea, terran has a higher micro ceiling, that is an imbalance in and of itself.

^ that's kind of the point of Terran though. We don't have the strongest or most plentiful units, we're the middle-ground option which demands a good variety of tactical options.

Honestly it's really getting old how much people still QQ over Terran. Blizzard even posted the recent win percentages and Terran was only really cleaning house as you noted, in the top Korean play and even then it wasn't by such a huge amount as to negate the other 2 races.

tl;dr stop crying about Terran and wait to see how HotS changes things because the new units & upgrades (Tunneling Claws for Banelings, the Shredder & the Tempest) are going to dramatically alter the metagame.

Try the HotS custom map on bnet and watch how op Swarm Hosts are.

And in HotS terran is even overpowered.

Marines are OP, because of DPS.
Planetary fortress is OP, because of the damage and how long it stays up.
SCV is OP, because it has 5 extra hit points and they repair.
Buildings are OP, because they can lift off.
Marauders are OP, because of damage.
Stim is OP for obvious reasons.
Reaper is OP, because it can jump up cliffs.
Ghost is OP, because of EMP and Snipe.
Banshee is OP, because of cloak.
Viking is OP, because of range.
Bunker is OP, because it’s salvageable.
Hellions are OP, because it roasts my mineral line.
Medivac is OP, because it heals and it can drop, and it loads to many units.
Tank is OP, because of the damage it does.
Thor is OP, because of the hitpoints and damage it does.
Supply Drop is OP. They shouldn’t be able to drop and get instant supply like that.
Mules are OP, do I even need to go into this?
Scan is OP.
Raven is OP with the new buff to seeker missile.
Battlecruiser is OP because of the Yamato cannon.

Do you see this Blizzard? All this… you need to patch this game and get rid of Terran right now!!! Damn it!!!

It is another month/2 of useless buff which does nothing to improve Protoss.

You forgot to mention terran favored maps and supply depots cause they can make a wall :D
And you also forgot to mention that even though david kim plays random, he wears terran shirts so he is bias and is intent on killing the other races. Oh if only DK knew what it was like playing toss and zerg.

lol...All very good points sir. It’s definitely a conspiracy theory. DB and DK are probably sitting in a room right now conspiring against Protoss and Zerg trying to figure out how to screw them over. Such evil doers…
