Hello,
I've been having a mouse stutter issue for a while. Took a break from playing in hopes it'd be fixed later (it hasn't). The problem: Mouse stutters. The easiest way to describe it would be as if someone was pulling out the USB port to my mouse and then immediately putting it back in constantly, as my mouse will become unresponsive for fractions of a second to 1-2 seconds at a time (this includes movement and clicking). The stutters occur in random intervals but most common is probably every 3-5 seconds, forcing me to alternate to my trackpad when the mouse is unresponsive. I looked at both of these threads: -http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/forum/topic/3278901185 -http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/forum/topic/3196343278 Toggliing the confine cursor feature any which way does nothing to affect the problem. This sounds like the issue that occurs when you have a USB wireless mouse (one of those with a USB nano-receiver) and the unibody MacBook Pros. What type of mouse do you have? Can you list the make/model?

Wow, you're exactly right.
This might not be the exact model, but the mouse I have looks like the Logitech Wireless Mouse M505 (same overall design, USB nano-receiver). Link: http://www.logitech.com/en-us/notebook-products/mice/devices/wireless-mouse-m505 Is there a way to fix this or will I have to buy a new mouse? If a new mouse is needed, do you have any recommendations and/or anything I should avoid when looking for a new mouse? Thanks again! |

That explains it. You can still use the same mouse, but plugging it in directly to the Mac will cause the issue all over again. You can use a USB extender, plug it into a keyboard that has USB slots, or even an external USB hub. That way you can keep using the mouse you are most comfortable with.
