Topic Mic issues, can't hear others.

My friend and I were trying to get our mics to work, but couldn't hear eachother even though the mics themselves were picking up sound. We each tested our mics, and tests showed the mics were working. Yet we still couldn't hear eachother. We were in the same party, we're Real-ID friends. We just couldn't figure out what was going wrong. The white bars next to our portraits were moving, but we could only see ours moving. Please tell me if there's something we're missing.
