Why am I still in silver?

I have not played another silver player in ladder in my last 30 games. Iv been playing vs top golds and bottom plats and winning about 7/10 of the games. Right now iv got 287 wins and im just wondering if I need 300 wins to get into gold league or something like that. I dont see why im still in silver when the game is matching me with platinum players. Could it be because I switched races after my first 100 or so wins?

This is why. Once your win rate stabilizes to around 50/50, you'll get promoted. The same thing happened to me when I leveled this account from bronze. I went straight from bronze to plat once I lost a couple of games. |
