What advantage? it's a huge advantage in zvz when you have ling / bling battles going on that happens every game.
See another person where it would give them an advantage. |

I wanted to hop on to speak to this issue a bit, as it’s certainly something our team cares a good deal about. As some of you may know, we’ve been preparing a big update to StarCraft II (patch 1.5) that will introduce a number of welcomed features to the client -- one of which is the ability for us to stream content updates to the game. This will allow for quicker access to a play session (removing the need to wait for patches to fully complete) and remove the need to repair your client files, as they’ll be constantly kept up to date automatically.
One of the unfortunate side effects of streaming is that mods that alter the StarCraft II archive files will no longer function, including color-clarity mods, custom Battle.net background mods, and more. Although these types of archive modifications go against our EULA and can also be used to spread malicious viruses or Trojans, we do understand the merit of many of these features. With the color-clarity issue specifically we actually have a few people on the team who are affected by color-blindness. The development team is looking into options now to support color clarity and customized backgrounds as well as some of the other mod features. We believe that in the long run, it's best for us to provide an option like stronger team colors within the game, as opposed to an externally modded solution that we can't explicitly support. We’ll keep the community updated on our progress and appreciate your continued feedback. |
Yes you are. A big one at that. It is easier for the people with an inherent physical vision disadvantage. Thanks for painting yourself as the biggest dumbass on the forum. |

Also it was not a sanctioned mod when it was created. What is going to stop me if I wanted to make the notifications bigger on the left side so I could see them easier? It still provides an advantage. By allowing some mods and not banning all mods, you are not effectively holding up the EULA and now have this gray area.
Here is how it is. A) Part of the game and is ok B) Is not apart of the game and should be banned no matter what.

I loved all the amazing attempts to dispute that it's not a cheat in this post, A+ would read again. |

[quote] People that have 1 hand also play and are at an even worse advantage, should we let them get auto blink / auto inject mods as well? funny thing is that i play better with one hand then when i use both because i force myself to use hotkeys when useing one hand because there is no way i would win without them with both hands i use the mouse way to much |

I don't get why people are getting so fired up over this. I have to agree on some points and disagree on others. If it helps people with color blindness play the game then why are we complaining? Wether its a mod or in game feature. We shouldn't complain.

What's to stop me from having a build order notebook right next to me? GIVES ME AN ADVANTAGE HURR.
What's to stop me from using a screencap program to make my Minimap take up my entire second monitor? GIVES ME AN ADVANTAGE HURR. What's to stop me from having an inject timer that tells me when to inject? GIVES ME AN ADVANTAGE HURR. The point is, everyone has the ability to do things here and there that give them an unfair advantage, be it a mod or some clever use of technology. I'm not saying that people are right for using that mod. I'm not saying they're wrong either. It's just you have to realize that modding is not the only way people can get an advantage in a game. Hell, I could get someone to stand over my shoulder and point out anything suspicious on the minimap for me. While I understand that it gives people a somewhat unfair advantage (Banelings in ZvZ oh god), I don't think that it needs this much flaming. Also: "If it's not an option in the game it's a cheating end of story. ANY outside changes and or things that the EULA says you can not do is cheating if it effects ladder play." Yeah, listening to music isn't an option in the game, but it helps keep my focused. Is that cheating? |

Please, for the love of god, stop. Just stop. That's a terrible example. Auto blink and auto inject are examples of bots and hacks, not mods. The examples you provided are external programs that inject themselves into the game's active process. Something like STC, for example, is just an MPQ mod. It is not even remotely possible to automate any part of the game just by editing an mpq. |

What's to stop me from having a build order notebook right next to me? GIVES ME AN ADVANTAGE HURR. lol strong troll response, 1-how ever # of things you can post and troll with) Not able to enforce it / not in the EULA and lol at your music placebo effect. Also you took my quote out of context as it was talking about options within the game not things you could do. so good job on that one.
