So I'm top 8 in my division and am hoping that I'll be going to Silver someday... So my questions is this. Will 3 gate robo as an opening still work? for the most part I go stalker/immortal heavy and seem to win more often than not.

pretty good build in general
3 gate robo should still be fine for silver, theres a lot of cheesing anyway

3-gate robo is my standard build, and I'm in Gold. It works.

I do make adjustments based on early scouting, though. It's an easy switch to a 1-gate expand if your enemy expands early, or a 4-gate rush if your enemy just does a bad build.

I do heavily modified 3gate Robo's vs Terran, and Zerg and they work in mid Platinum. Cheese PvP though...

Most builds will work at all brackets, it really just depends on how well you are able to pull it off. I used an account in placements and went from Bronze -> Masters in a day only using 4Gate back in season 5 just to test it out.

There are obviously favorable builds you should learn, such as FFE vs Zerg and 1GateFE vs Terran. However, it's rarely the build that holds players back.

#1 silver about the same as #1 bronze... Does require slightly better macro. Build orders aren't that important yet, and they aren't important in gold either, near as I can tell so far.
