Hey. I am looking for a new keyboard for starcraft 2.
i currently have the blackwidow ultimate. i have been looking at the steelseries 7g, corsair vengeance k90, blackwidow 2013, and das professional. i was wondering what other people think is the best keyboard for starcraft? Edit: i would also like to have a handrest on the keyboard |
the regular one has black swithces. there is a new one that came out that has red switches. |

I forgot to ask...
What's your budget? Do you want backlighting? I personally use a small keyboard(84-keys) because with a smaller keyboard, I have much more room for my mice and it seems awkward to me keeping my hands so far apart with a full keyboard. I recommend against getting the K90 because it is not fully mechanical(some dome switches) or blackwidow because of its poor quality. Some keyboards... CM quick fire pro http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823129003&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-_-pla-_-NA-_-NA Leopold FC500r http://elitekeyboards.com/products.php?sub=leopold,fullsize Check the ones here too http://www.vendio.com/stores/E-sports-Gaming-equipments/ Look at the ducky keyboards. |
I know about the k90's dome switches but i didnt really mind since its only on the macro keys and the keys that i dont use very much. (correct me if im wrong) I currently have the blackwidow and its great
I have been looking at these keyboards and they look pretty good. I forgot to ask... I dont have a budget just as long as it isnt crazy expensive like over $200 Backlighting isnt necessary but obviously its cool :) i just want a good mechanical keyboard the backlighting doesnt really matter. |

im looking for a mechanical myself. Currently my #1 pick would be the steelseries 6gv2 RED edition. but i heard it has bad key fading + no backlight and after doing some research online alot of comments has stated the red switches lead it inaccurate key presses. And that for rts you want brown or blue. not black or red.
My budget is around 100$, ive never owned a mechanical before. I have a backlight saitek eclipse (original) for a few yrs now. And im starting to notice more spelling errors (keys are not as responsive as they used to be). |

Don't forget to check out Ducky keyboards.

found this sweet deal on newegg: (CM quickfire pro brown) $59.99 after promo code (-30 off) and MIR (-10)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823129003 the only problem is im never had a mechanical keyboard before and i was pretty dead set on getting the CM quickfire rapid with reds. Keep in mind i play fps and rts. Is there that much of a difference between reds and browns? |

The best keyboard imo is the Das, but you don't have to get it D:
