They were pretty good. At least the first one was. That was the only one I read.

I can't decide between the Lord of the Rings books and A Song of Ice and Fire (the cliffhanger ending to the fifth book is killing me).
My brother got the first book in that series. Is it good? I might ask him for it. (hes not much of a reader.)

Funny. I didn't read the first one, just the second one (there are only two I believe).

First one sounds sort of cheesy. China...rogue generals? Really?

The second book is really twisty. Sort of makes you facepalm at the War on Terror.

The first one was like that to. I don't really remember much. It's been a LONG time since I read any Tom Clancy books.

The Ender's game series, in particular Xenocide

believe it or not, the Marine Corps actually has a reading list: a list of books that the highest ranking Marine, the commandant, designates, and Enders Game is one of the few books on there. thats hte only one thats ever stood out in my mind

anyone who loves the english language would really enjoy Ella Minnow Pea.

Either Tolkien's Legendarium (Lord of the Rings / The Hobbit / Silmarillion, it's hard to judgen them separately) or C. S. Lewis' Narnia books.
