I'm looking for something new and fun to play. I tend to favour Push/Pull Tug of War style games and TDs, preferably with competitive elements, but will try anything. Easy to learn/hard to master is a good thing too, as is a good community.
So - what are you really enjoying at present?
Also, if anyone else is looking for something new to play, feel free to list your preferences here and anyone with a suggestion can leave it too.
(insert map I created here) haha
But seriously, I think Mafia is a pretty cool and very unique map. You don't even control units, everyone is anonymously assigned a role, and it's up to the town characters to lynch the mafia, and vice versa. I could explain more, but it's a lot faster to learn by just playing a few rounds.
I'm biased (lol) but Special Forces Elite 4 is pretty awesome. It's not really any of the maps you described but it's an interesting twist on the regular game. Can be very challenging for new players trying to figure out what unit combination to use to survive. There is a thread by Jason that has a lot of good strategies and which units make the game the easiest, but try it out without any insight first.
Of course I'd recommend a map I created. What do you think about modified melee maps? My SC Expanded maps are aways in need for feedback and new suggestions.
If you like soccer games I suggest Star Strikers, it's fun. You could also try Bomberbot Arena for casual play, and SquadCraft 2 for a more serious turn-based strategy.
