The guy who posted this is pretty dead on about it.
On the contrary, I did see those and they were written 2 years ago when the game was new. Just poking around in-game I can see that at least some things have changed since then. And knowing that there were changes even recently with the new season, those are not worth my time if other sources are going to contradict them. I'd rather start with a fresh up to date description of what is in place now.
So that's what I'm looking for: a good consolidated source on what the structure and mechanics are today.

That was good one thanks.
It seems that the system will pair you up with anyone in the entire ladder depending how well it thinks you are doing. I understand the leagues bestow a sort of rank upon players, but what purpose do the actual divisions within the leagues serve?
Like the leagues, are the divisions ranked with respect to each other?
Are the divisions constantly created as needed to accommodate the influx of players?
Seeing that there is a hidden MMR which is your true skill level/rank among all ladder players, are the visible points only to rank you within your division and that's all?
Is the bonus pool just an ever counting number that starts at the beginning of the season and reaches some maximum at the end of the season, thus resetting to 0 at the start of the next?
Is "Game score" the points you get for winning/losing before the bonus points (from the bonus pool) are added (if any)
As long as you have bonus points, you'll always be given them for winning a game equal to you game score?
Is there partial bonus points? For instance, I win 15 points in a game, but only have 10 bonus points, do I get the 10?
Thanks for your patience everybody... and for your help too.

MVP - StarCraft
I would start with the posts you ignored stickied at the top of the Forum.
The Ladder Guide is still the most up-to-date source on how the ladder works. I update it any time new information is discovered or anything changes.
Or, if you'd rather see a more readable version with integrated images:
