Tomorrow, Saturday night at 9pm Eastern Campaign Creations and Saraphic Games will be doing another Custom map night.
Honejasi will be putting up videos on the youtube channel about a week after.
The livestream will be here: http://www.livestream.com/fockewulf?t=248304
And yes I will set it to pick up something besides my voice.
The channel will be "Campaign Creations" on NA.
If you are a mapper and would like us to consider playing your map please post in this thread. I can't guarantee we will play it but you will have a far better chance.
*Warning*: Although many of us are mappers some of the feedback can and will be rather negative. If you can't handle a little trolling (and map breaking) then I suggest you don't suggest your map. We play to have fun.
Also if there was ever a convient time for some Blizzard devs to get in and play games with the community then the map night would be a good time. Grab a few beers, relax, play maps etc.
IDK lets see if any of them show up XD
Stream is live.

Cool stuff! If you're interested, try my map "StarDodgeBall." It supports up to 6v6 and is, in my perfectly objective opinion, very fun to play! I would absolutely love to get some good criticism (constructive or destructive) and exposure.
If you're not sure about it, you can test it very easily by adding computers in the lobby. I guarantee you won't be disappointed--after all, it is the best dodgeball-themed SC2 Arcade game on the market right now!
Haha I'd love to try that ^
It's too bad my Star Odyssey project is far from complete. Else it'd be fun to play it on this event. You guys can play my other maps if you'd like, though.
Btw, when u say "Eastern" time, which timezone exactly is that? There are alot of timezones that start with "Eastern". You'll need to clarify that especially for someone like me who isn't living in North America and is not familiar with the timezones there.

Ya Ricky I talked to a Blizz dev and hopefully we can get a few to watch the stream or even play. He said he'd toss out a "link" to some of the other devs.
It wasn't really hard to convince him. All the devs have to do is show up for a few hours and watch/play.
The big thing though for the devs is the livestream chat box (you should have that open too Ricky). Having people see for sure that the devs are actually watching would go a long ways to assuring the customers that Blizzard is taking the custom mod community seriously and the devs/CM's have to expend almost zero effort in doing it.
We've given them the best win/win something-for-nothing we can to show the community that they are indeed involved in the community. If they can't act on this then I don't know what they will act on.

I'm tempted to suggest one of my own maps (Fire Emblem-Radiant Dawn or The Dagor Dagorath), but they are very unforgiving to new players (no tutorials are included, since they assume a reasonable working knowledge and/or good players willing to teach the game), and even more so without some experienced players present to show them how to play. If you actually want to play one of them (Radiant Dawn usually takes two hours for a full game, and any of the others will pass one easily), then go ahead, but don't say that you weren't warned.
I love how you guys confuse the terms "critical" with "idiotic" when it comes to your "criticisms". You basically play a fail star battle map for 2 hours then go to play Haunted Forest and say it sucks before you even start.
On top of that 90% of you were complaining about things that were your own fault for not reading the How to Play or the Loading Screen OR the Controls that were displayed as soon as the map started ffs. Example "OMG I CANT SEE THIS IS STUPID!".
Guess what bro? F for Flashlight, was right on the How to Play, the loading screen and it is displayed at the start of the game.
Unbelievable. Oh and thanks for spam down voting it down from 500+ 5 star rating.

Okay, is there a real point to even have the flashlight turned off initially as opposed to have it already turned it on off the start?
In my mind, it should be turned on by default and *IF* there is a point to turn it off (stealth or something) THEN you suggest it to turn it off to avoid being detected.
And unfortunately, I am one of those players that tend to not memorize the keys per heart off the bat even if it's ridiculously simple. This time, I didn't even paid enough attention to the keys. I see the first text at the middle of the screen then I notice the next text with the keys at the bottom-left instead of the middle of the screen. Then I had some confusion at why the screen was essentially black.
It's silly but it's such situations that can end up with a few players going "wtf" especially if they didn't played this type of map much like it happened to me.
A simple suggestion could be a "Hit F to open your flashlight" at the middle of the screen when the keys text shows up. Again silly but it does make it more obvious that's the first thing that should be done if you really insist that it should be done that way.
As for voting, I personally didn't do any voting on your map on battle.net and usually I don't vote. As for other players, I don't know what they did as I was more concerned as usual to pick the next map as I go from map to map.

The stream is off.
And Blizzard never showed up.
We tried to give them the easiest thing they could possibly do to show they were willing to work with the community to help revive it - go to a damned webpage and put in a little chat bar "Hi I'm <Insert Bnet Username> from Blizzard here to watch the show". Then mute the stream and go watch TV. That was all we were asking them to do and they couldn't even do that.
This is the very last remaining community effort to help revive the map community and they refuse to do jack !@#$.
I think the obvious conclusions can be drawn from this. Personally I'm not even going to bother trying anymore. I'm just going to let it die. This didn't come as a surprise by any means but I was hoping I would be wrong for once.
Thanks to the people who responded who understand the point of the map. Just so people know what i'm talking about.
It starts at 1:47:45. (This was after they played a broken Star Battle map for 2 hours)
Oh and Fockewulf i kept telling u over and over there is no referee/watcher AND to tell that dude to press F and you did not listen.
