Eh, your choice. I like how I do it. Mark, the Eques are almost complete. I suppose I can provide a back story now.
The Inextinctus Eques were originally built by the Xel'Naga to keep the Zerg in check, ensuring that the cycle would repeat and their race would continue. However, the Overmind had other plans. Shortly after their creation, the Overmind convinced the Xel'Naga that the Eques were malfunctioning and they were all deactivated and put in stasis. Centuries passed, and a Terran research team found their stasis hold. Not knowing the hell they were about to unleash on the Sector. Angelus came alive, and after finding out how long he and his knights had slept, killed the entire team and escort and awakened his knights. They now rebuild on the planet that they were supposed to be imprisoned on, their transports delivering Workers where needed to continue the rebuilding. With their awakening, they remembered the Xel'Naga's betrayal of them, and now hate all organics, intending to wipe them out.

lol... Smylez... xD
Zarkun, approved, but as long as you understand that a war will probably break out and the Eques can't win... So have a plan for their retreat/defeat/banishment whatever. Obviously, this will become a sublpot and subplots can't take over the plot, plot.
I hope that doesn't sound harsh or anything but if that race hates all organics and a war breaks out that subplot will become THE plot. That can't happen. I am okay with war beaking out, but then we can't ALL die from the subplot, lol.

"Tis funny the Xel'naga will listen to the Overmind that the Eques were malfunctioning. Why would the Xel'naga not check if they were truly malfunctioning? It should be easy to validate the Overmind's claims with a simple inspection yet they did not. How strange it is when the Xel'naga are fooled into listening to the Overmind."
Smylez is getting defensive over the xel'naga xD
"My boy, I have never defended anything or anyone in my time here. I merely point out that it is a bit of a stretch that the Xel'naga did not check/inspect their 'faulty equipment' before putting them in stasis. Instead, they seem to have blindly followed the words of a giant piece of flesh. A better explanation will be a revolt of some sort and they Xel'naga opted to imprisoned them because they cherish all forms of life, including the abominable Voice in the Darkness."
"But enough of me yapping my mouth and critiquing others when I am in a state of lethargy. Good night."

Oh C'mon! If war really does break out every race will play a role.
