It would be more than just a couple hundred.
I agree with you. Unfortunately, the Development Team didn't even read all the feedback from the tiny number of players who posted to the Beta forums.
Expanding the Beta population is not going to improve the game. We're going to get the same flawed product we did with WoL. And this will continue to be the cause until the Development Team leadership is changed, and the actual process of testing the game and the philosophy of game design used at Blizzard HQ are both purposefully changed.
So what? Don't they want it tested. Might as well doll it out now. Especially if it is "good", it would encourage us to pre-order/buy it when it comes out.
Actually, you ignorant American... I am not even from your terrible country (there are other countries in North America, you do realize?). So you can shove that attitude right back at yourself.
Yup... just an ignorant American here.
No, the majority of the people in the majority of those countries also think like you... "gimme gimme gimme".
Let me guess... Canada? There's lots of "gimme" mindset up there, what with your "free" health care and all... Well, "free" with someone else's money that is.
Yeah, "democracy". Also known as "tyranny of the masses". When socialists like you get your way, you get...
The Russian revolution - 9 million dead between 1917 and 1922 alone, 20+ million if you count Stalin
Mao Tse Tung's regime - 40 million dead between 1949 and 1975
Should I go on? Great track record you have there Mr Socialist. Keep it up with your "free" gimme gimme gimme stuff, because it's great for everyone involved.

Lets look at this simply:
You didn't get an email for your beta key, so in order to have noticed this glorified typo for the 1 single day it was on your account, you likely check your Battle.net account fairly regularly. Everyone has been talking about, and you have probably noticed, the beta client page has replaced the 1.5 beta page.
All of the sudden, the link that is broken and accidentally refers to the HotS beta download, is renamed to the HotS beta, and you immediately download the client, sit there anxiously without checking your email, looking online, or doing anything else to discern if this is a mistake. Then get upset and ask for support without noticing the sea of people around you with the same "issue"
For the record, I had the beta client downloaded and fully updated before this happened, I saw what you saw on my account, it was apparent to me that it was a glitch, but I considered that it might just be a coincidence that they removed the PTR/1.5 beta from profiles around the same time I got my key. So, like a sensible person (keep in mind, you did a download that took several hours, and by all rights should have done this too) I loaded a website to find people freaking out that their beta keys weren't working.
I won't deny I tried to login after this once just for kicks, but if I understand the actions of the Blizzard Customer Support twitter and this thread, Blizzard has gone ahead and given keys to all the people who made a big fuss over this? Seriously?
!@#$ my life. This post is the first in my newfound commitment to make a fuss whenever I feel I can be louder than I can be sensible and then hope something good happens for me.
EDIT: Nevermind, I got here late, everyone's going on about THIS HERE OBAMA.. WANTS TO BAN FLAVORED DIP or whatever you American nerf herders talk about.

Lol you are so uneducated and uninformed, that I REALLY hope you're trolling. You do realize Stalin and Mao were absolute dictators, right?
Let me guess... Canada? There's lots of "gimme" mindset up there, what with your "free" health care and all... Well, "free" with someone else's money that is.I suppose you feel because you were coincidentally birthed out of a more wealthy womb, that you "deserve" healthcare more than anyone else? The healthcare isn't "free", we all pay for it out of our taxes. The ironic thing, is that per capita, we pay LESS in health care than you do, and ours is free. Free healthcare is one of the best things about Canada. I cannot possibly fathom how you think it is a "bad" thing, even if rich people did have to pay for it all (which they dont).
I also have no "gimmie" mindset you keep frothing at the mouth about. I stand up for what is right and wrong, and the basic freedoms all humans deserve to have.
Yup, there it is... "more wealthy womb". Mmmhmm... because my parents didn't expect me, weren't married at the time, rushed the wedding, and made barely any money at all, but worked their *ahem* off to be able to afford what we needed, sacrificing all the "things" that most others "needed" so they could afford what we really needed.
But they, and people like me, should be punished for being responsible and instead give that money to those who were irresponsible or made very very poor decisions in life. You DO realize that the vast majority of chronically "poor" are poor because of the way they live their life, not their situations they were magically "born in to"? And the few who literally *are* poor and not making bad decisions, they aren't poor for very long unless they're physically incapable, and there's billions of dollars of private charity that helps people like that, charities that I give a significant amount of my income to.
Where do you get this idea that "basic freedoms all humans deserve to have"? Do you think those people called "doctors" just magically appeared on the planet, ready to serve at your whim? The only *rights* you can have are inherent in your very being. I have a right to use my feet to travel around, a right to use my property as I see fit, a right to hunt for food on my property, a right to use weapons to hunt for bigger game (if I can make them or purchase them from someone else in a fair trade), etc, etc, etc. There is no right to a telephone, no right to the internet, no right to health care... no right to ANYTHING that someone else has to provide.
You have a right to ACCESS health care if you can find someone willing to treat you for the amount of money you have to spend on it, but you have no right to that person's services, any more than you have a right to put a gun to their head and tell them to treat you medically.
They call that a "thief". Whether you do it yourself, or you elect someone to government who does it on your behalf with the power of the state, it's still a "thief".

I dont even know how you can come to such conclusions and opinions.
"your" property is not "your" anything. The earth is the earth. Magical barriers and property/country lines made up by society, are not tangible or real. You do not get to take all of your material assets with you after you die. "your" property and everything you worked so hard to acquire, is absolutely useless/meaningless/left behind after death. So I don't see why you are so focused around material greed and have such a negative view to poor people.
If EVERYONE could be rich just by "working harder", than EVERYONE would be. But the world doesn't work like that. If bill gates was born in Ethiopia, he would not be who he is today. Just because you got lucky or whatever, doesn't mean everyone can. Afterall, you were still born in AMERICA? What of the 2 billion in China and India? They get screwed because of geographical "luck" as to where they were born.
Furthermore, I never said anything about internet rights, telephone rights, or any MATERIAL asset rights. I said "human rights". Everyone should have HUMAN RIGHTS, regardless of wealth or place of birth. Healthcare is not a "right", but it is something everyone deserves to have for free/equally. Being more wealthy does not mean you deserve more life.
You talk about having the right to what you are born with... The right to walk on your own feet... What about people SCREWED at birth? Born with disabilities or no feet, or no way of making money? Should they get no access to healthcare because they are unlucky at birth?
Get your head out of your behind, you have a terrible mindset. I hope you never suffer undue disability from something out of your control (such as a car accident) and then have to deal with it with the rest of your life, losing all of your material wealth just to survive with your stupid medical system.
Your world/life views are terribly skewed. I dont even know how you can come to such conclusions and opinions.
And that summarizes everything. You don't believe in property rights. All of Western Civilization is based on property rights. The rest of the (for the most part ridiculously poor) world doesn't recognize property rights either.
The "poor" people in Western Civilization have a higher standard of living than the majority of "rich" people in the rest of the world.
So, in summary:
Respect private property rights, and everyone's more wealthy, and *unequal*.
Don't respect private property rights, and everyone's equally poor and miserable.
