That's pretty optimistic.

He has such nice things to say about facing Brood Lords. The gist I'm getting is: don't. :)

+1

Awesome find brother! :D

VERY good read! I especially liked how they are finally officially recognizing extreme lategame Carriers as standard - something almost EVERY Protoss knows for a fact.

Artisian, this is for you ;) The list of Carrier games is coming along nicely, btw - I am still trying to find some specific games by LiquidHero, but I have quite a few from others.

Cute :) But it's not that bad, it's more like this:

Of course, that guide is outdated and doesn't include the fast Hive style.

I didn't really make it, it was a collaboration by several well known Protoss TL posters, although I believe they did use some of my ideas in sections of it.

So you are telling me we need a 100 page guide to how play PvZ. This looks balancead

You can ignore a good part of it, as it involves stuff most protoss players have already figured out/stuff that protoss players don't use anymore. Gateway expands, how to fight the stephano roach max, etc. etc. etc. Also there's the other things like the history of PvZ which aren't necessary, but are definitely interesting.

I think you have not read the guide completely. There is much more than that in there. It talks about every stage of the matchup including the ultra-lategame where Carrier/Archon/HT/MS are the ultimate composition to strive for against Inf/BL/Corruptor.

The specific anti-muta, anti-baneling, anti-roach(max) builds and other variations are only a small part of the guide, while the rest of the information deals with relative timings Protoss HAS to know. All-in-all, it is everything a Protoss guide needs to take someone with almost no experience with PvZ to bring him up to speed with current meta.

I hope you aren't trying to trivialize this awesome piece of work ...

Timings
Before we get into specific builds, let’s look at some timings useful for early game PvZ no matter what opening you choose. The most important ones are bolded:

1:46 - 6 Pool finishes
1:56 - 7 Pool finishes
2:03 - 8 Pool finishes
2:11 - 9 Pool finishes
2:17 - 10 Pool finishes
2.28 - 11 Pool finishes
2:40 - 11 Overpool finishes
2:05 - 15 Hatch starts
2:35 - Zerg reaches 300 minerals after 13 Pool for 15 Hatch
2:40 - Zerg reaches 300 minerals after 14 Pool for 16 Hatch
3:02 - Zerg reaches 300 minerals after 14 gas, 14 Pool build
3:15 - Amount of time elapsed from when Zerg starts his first extractor to when Ling speed finishes

Best thing EVER!!!!!!!!!!

Isn't it amazing? One day there will be a guide like this for every matchup. Kudos to NrgMonk from TL and everyone else who had something to do with this. Really exciting to see such dedication in the midst of all the trolling and negativity that sometimes engulfs the community.
