If one beats, say, 4 Hard AI, shouldnt the 3 and the 2 Hard AI also be awarded?

I just beat 4 Hard AI and I didn't get the 3 Hard AI as well. (If you decide to look, I beat 2 Hard AI a while back, so I already had that one.)

Is that right? Or has one always had to make those achievements individually?
