I thought that I, as a regular terrainer, would throw together a list of pages dedicated to helping aspiring terrainers through use of tutorials, examples, and more.
List #1 (as of: 10-17-12)
Here are the first 10 WTE's; use what has been posted in them, along with posts in the other WTE's to give you ideas for your own terrain.
There are tons of terrain tutorials on Youtube, but I picked out a few that I myself remember using once upon a time, and found them to be helpful.

This isn't really a reference to an external tutorial, but since I could find no tutorial on the whole lighting region thing I thought I'd just figure it out by myself and write up a quick run-down on how to operate this tool. So! The following steps will provide you with a basic idea on how to operate the lighting regions. I myself have not yet mastered them, so I can't give you ideas on what sorts of lighting to put in each tileset, but if in the future I do, I'll be sure to jot those down here!
List #2 (as of 10-17-12)
This is yet another post by Mozared from SC2Mapster, in which he gives detailed advice on how to alter your maps terrain in order to reduce lag.
Many people who strive to create a beautiful terrain for their project tend to fall short of a masterpiece when they're faced with one of the most difficult terraining tasks: creating a bridge that actually works. Luckily, there are several tutorials nowadays to guide bridge-newbies to glory - like this one here!
Because, in reality, you can never have enough basic terraining run-downs. I myself use(d) these plenty!

Here's what may seem like a tutorial that teaches one very specific lesson, but in reality gives aspiring mappers ideas on how to use terrain objects to create things that may of originally seemed impossible.
This is a bit more complicated and technical than most of my other listings, but it's something neat to check out if you so desire.
SC2Mapster's "Request a Tutorial" Thread
This is a great place to ask for surgical aid in your career as both a terrainer and as a mapper as a whole.
I'm going to cut it off here, but that's not to say that there aren't any more resources! Comment below with other tutorials that you've found to be helpful, and I'll put as many as I can up here on the 'Master-sheet'!
