New Rig For SC2?

I purchased WoL yesterday, and I found it to be very entertaining. However, I'm currently running it on an old laptop, and will soon be upgrading. I hope to run this game above 120 fps at high-ultra with this build. Can you guys give me some feedback? Also, do the mouse/keyboard matter as much? Thanks in advance.

Mouse/Keyboard is totally your preference, but I like to tell people that these should be considered very last. Reason being, a $200 keyboard+mouse set won't make your game any faster over $50 keyboard+mouse set, but a $200 graphics card certainly will over $50 one.

I wouldn't really aim for specific FPS.

Are you going to overclock your CPU?

The HD 7850 is very expensive, you can buy an HD 7870 at that price.

HAF 912 has no front USB 3.0 ports. Try to get one that has one.

DVD burner too expensive, they should be less than $19.

Oh ok. Thanks, I'll adjust the build. For the m+kb, do I need hotkeys like buttons on the side? I may be overclocking, not sure

You should make up your mind on whether you will OC or not, because the total price on Intel builds differ -drastically- depending on whether you will OC or not.

I personally find buttons on the side pretty worthless, but many people find them indispensable, so this issue is strictly up to your tastes.

Alright, thanks. I will not be overclocking, mostly because I'm just going to game and use it for school. For the m and kb, Im just going to choose any 2. Thanks for the help!

If you won't overclock:

Downgrade to i5-3470
Downgrade to a cheap B75 motherboard
Do not buy a CPU cooler (stock one that comes with the CPU will be sufficient)

This alone will significantly save you $ without losing barely any performance
