Ever notice how 99% of clans/teams/guilds/whatevers have basically a few players that made the clan, and then they just recruit random people, just to get members? Should the few people that actually know each other disagree or stop playing the clan ceases to exist.
Clans are for practicing and competitive play...?
Most competitive play in this game is 1v1, so you would need little more than 3 practice partners, one of each race to practice anything you wanted, so why a clan? You can simply meet people and play with them team games without some formal structure that causes issues and makes work for no reason whatsoever.
The other cool thing is almost all clans now have no requirments to join that 99% of everyone can't fulfill, good times!
Poptarts Taste Like...
The purpose of clans/teams, are to form communities and fun groups, in which Blizzard has failed to do so.
Some people just don't wan't to grind 1v1's all the time, and just keeping people on your friends list doesn't always merit conversations and public interactions.
Because you could have a protoss player that always does the same thing with the same style... Having several protoss players makes it so you can play against several styles. Also, what if that one player is AFK?
