Investigate the Nests.
Continue to explore for prey.

Nice backstory by the way. It actually makes some sense.

The creatures decide not to hunt the bird-creature, and continue exploring for prey with good mobility. They move away from the Nests, heading further along the mountains, heading to the Lowlands. As they explore, several creatures chatter, squawk, and hiss at each other and the Tube-born creatures. They, however, hiss back at the locals, sending some fleeing and making others attempt to attack. Those that attempted to kill them, however, were killed and consumed, with most of them having few features the creatures could use. However, as they explored, they came across a herd of animals in the mountains, and as they approached, the herds sped up, trying to run from them. Some of them leaped away, jumping repeatedly. The Tube-born creatures continue to hunt them, just barely keeping pace with them.

They got lucky, however, as a few of the herd got tired from fleeing, and the tube-born creatures swiftly caught and consumed them. After finishing their meal, they look around seeing a nearby cave, and also seeing two paths. They considered continuing, but they also considered staying.

As the Banshees fly into the Mountain Nests, they catch sight of several creatures, some killing each other, some traveling in a pack. One pilot glances over, seeing something rushing up to meet him. He only manages to get the Banshee out of the way before a massive bird-like creature nearly rams the Banshee.
"Damn thing." He mutters, and guns the engine, trying to outrun the creature while his wing-mates attempt to shoot the creature down. It flies backward, the creature attacking another Banshee. It begins to attack the armor, eventually pecking at the glass, breaking it, and killing the pilot. It squawks in victory, back into the air as the Banshee falls to the ground. As the bird-creature squawks, a Banshee fires on it, blowing it up in a torrent of explosives.
{Sir. No sign of the creatures, but the locals just killed a pilot. Want us to continue the search?}
Captain Trace frowns in disappointment. {No, discontinue the search. I want as many banshees as possible for when we do find them.}
{Yes sir. Returning home.} The Banshees turn around, heading back to the forward base.
Captain Trace sighs, pacing back and forth, debating on the best course of action. Perhaps have them sweep the mountains on the other side of the range...
