Scarred Creature:

It seems quite interested in both of them so I say eat them.

Thomas:

Punish that fool with the butt of the gun, knocking him out. Then haul his sorry !@# into a dark room and "interrogate" him there.

Thomas doesn't have a gun. Please select again.

Back to the Story:

The creature takes a step closer to the bodies, and sniffs them. It pokes at the carapace of the armored creature, feeling its skin, which was lined with near-invisible spikes. It then starts cutting at the carapace, finding muscles woven with the shell to make it tougher for the would-be attackers to get through. It turns to the scrawny creature, which as it turned, started rising again from its injuries. It hisses at the scarred creature, and jumps, only to be decapitated with one swift motion. The scarred creature goes over to the body of the now-dead creature, and sees that even now its body was sealing the wound, even though it was dead. It turns to the body of it, and sees acid dripping out on the claws, making up for its lack of strength. The creature looks between both of them, and consumes both their bodies. It isn't energized as much as it had been when it ate the red-skinned creatures, but, unknown to it, the DNA of the creatures it had consumed were being isolated deep in its subconscious. It turns and moves back to the pool, where some of its race had made it to the water, the small ones and a few females along with two of the cannon creatures. It glances over, and sees that the downed creature had gotten up, and was taking another drink. A rustling was heard nearby, and the scarred creature takes a drink.

Thomas shakes his head at Sasha, who proceeds to take a seat. He turns and pulls a seat out for the Captain, and as they both take a seat, Thomas asks "So, tell me, what happened?" The Captain nods, and says
"We had received reports that there was terrorist activity in the facility. I had assumed it was a drill, but it didn't seem like it. We had found no signs of any terrorist activity, and while I was about to head off to get something to eat, I was called back to the control room because one of the marines called in for help. One of the creatures broke out, and killed all the scientists in the room. It then proceeded to free the other creatures, and ambushed the squad that my subordinates sent. I then organized a way to delay them, stopping them from going out of the front. They managed to use the Cargo Bay Elevator to go up to the Arena while I deployed a firebat team to hunt them. When they went in there, I tried to kill them with the Protoss and Zerg that were held captive for combat testing. One of your scientists saved them with a massive creature, and they ate the bodies. They then ambushed the Firebats, killing them and making it to the Cargo Bay. I tried to hold them off with the rest of the troops, but they made us fire on one-another using the smaller creatures. By the time we realized that they were attacking in full, we were screwed. I don't know what happen after that, for my Viking got tipped over." He explained, his face red with growing anger. He really wanted revenge, and Thomas decided he was going to use it.
"Hmm. I see. If I told you I could get you some troops to hunt them down, what would you say?" He asks, and upon seeing the Captains expression change, he says "I'll take that as a yes."

The males got up from where they all were, and they walk toward the noise that is heard. As they approach, something flies out of the bushes at them, and one of the males jumps, catching it. It was a small bird, with little in the way of mass but colorful. But this wasn't what caught their eyes. What caught their eyes was a small, thin but long creature with its mouth attached to the leg of the bird. The male cuts the leg off the bird that the snake was on, and tosses it back in the air, keeping the snake down on the ground. The creature sniffs the snake, and the snake lets go of the leg to attack the creature. Just when its teeth are but centimeters away, it stops in the air, and slowly falls to the ground in front of one of the small tube-born creature. It sniffs the snake, and kills it with a swift blow. It then digs into the snake, while the males explore a bit further before they all return to the pool. They then make their way back to the mountain, to escort the next group.

Thomas gets up, and says "The task-force will be here either later today or tomorrow. Go get some sleep, for I think you'll need it for the hunt ahead." Captain Gerald nods, and leaves the room. Sasha stands up, and glances at Thomas. He nods, and Sasha disappears to find if anyone was left alive of the Captain's force. Thomas turns to the nearby computer, and puts the disk in, to review over the details of what had happened at the base. The communicator at his hip beeps at him, and he answers it.
"Yes? Yeah, the head of security is alive. Yes. I need a Task Force sent to the planet, the closest one. Task Force 35? They'll do. I've worked with their Captain before, so it should make things easier. Yes, we'll do our best to recover them in one piece. I know how much of the two PROJECTS' data has been pulled out for this. Yes. Goodbye." He sets the communicator down, and reviews the data.

Explore the forest further.

Reader note: The terrain they explore dictates their behavior a bit. The mountain will make them more cautious, where the forest will make them think more on their feet.

The creatures return to the cave in the mountains, and as the smaller ones play-fight with one another, the scarred creature sniffs the air, catching a faint scent. It decides to explore the mountains further, and wordlessly, a female creature, another male, a cannon creature and the scout form up to go with the scarred one. They go out of the cave, and head further up the mountain. On a narrow path leading around the mountain, the female creature slips and almost falls to death. The cannon creature had grabbed her as she fell, and pulled her up. She nods her head, and they all proceed a bit more cautiously along the path. They stop, spying upon a pair of creatures. One of them had massive thighs and caffs, where the other had two pairs of small wings. They were fighting over a fresh body, and the creatures stood a bit away, deciding what to do. They hear something approaching, its voice loud and deep as it roars. It is not heard by the arguing creatures, however. The tube-born creatures look at them, and decide what to do....

Sasha walks out of the facility, and looks around. Attached to the facility was a Motor Pool, where the scientists would often transport creatures out to see what they did in the forest. She looks back to the forest, and decides to first investigate the Motor Pool. She walks over to the entrance, and upon seeing the door partly cracked, she pulls out her pistol and opens it a bit further. Anyone in the room, identify yourself. She sends telepathically. Sasha hated using telepathy, but she used it when she had to. She hears someone get up, and hears "Who's there?" She opens the door and walks through. The voice then adds "Oh. A ghost.....My name is Shelby, with the Security Force." Sasha looks at Shelby, and sends I need you to follow me. You and your team. Shelby hesitates, but signals for the troops to follow her. They do so, and Shelby follows Sasha out of the Motor Pool, heading back to the facility and back to Thomas.

As Captain Trace Reed, Captain of the Dominion Task Force 35, steps onto the bridge, his communications officer speaks up.
"Captain." She says. "You have an incoming call, audio only."
The Captain nods. "Send it to my personal COM."
"Yes, sir." She says, and types into the computer, directing the call to his COM systems.
"Captain Trace Reed." A voice says. "My name is Samuel. I have orders to direct you to planet D-304 in the Avanges system. I'm not sure who sent it, but the priority attached is very high. It says to make haste to the planet, and link up with a scientist who goes by the name Thomas Jeckson. He'll have more orders for you then." The speaker explains.
"I'll adjust course immediately. Any helpful intel you can give me?" He asks.
"It is something about a breakout of powerful science experiments. They have killed some Dominion personnel, including destroying a few tanks. They request your abilities to hunt down these creatures and bring them back under lock-down." Samuel replies.
"How many losses are allowed? Something like that means not all of them will be captured alive." The Captain replies.
"They said that loses on the creatures are acceptable, and only one really needs to survive for the project to continue." Samuel replies. "They also request an ETA."
"By early tomorrow morning. As for a survivor, is there on in particular?" He asks.
"Negative. No specifics, just need one creature living. That's all Captain. Samuel out." The channel ends.
I turn to the helmsman, clasping my hands behind my back. "Helmsman, set course for planet D-304. And put us in overdrive."
"Aye sir. Setting course now." He replies.

Thomas jumps as his communicator beeps at him. He picks it up, and answers it. "Yes? They'll be here tomorrow morning? Alright. Goodbye." He continues reviewing the footage, and hears the door open. He looks up, and sees Sasha with a team of Dominion marines.
"This is them?" He asks. Sasha nods, and he stands up, facing the troops. "So." Thomas says and adds "Tell me what happened here."

The creatures decide that they will consume the creatures fighting rather than flee. The males charge, running on all four to gain the speed for their charge. They pile into the creatures who were fighting, and as one attempts to jump away, it is pulled down, and its throat is ripped open by the teeth of the male. The scarred one engages the creature with wings, and ducks under its first attack. The scarred male lashes out, slicing across its head but not killing it. The winged one attacks the male, cutting his shoulder, only to be killed as it's throat is ripped out. The other creature join them, and the males stand forward, getting ready to fight the roaring, which is now close. The creature roaring reveals itself.......
.......upside down. Flailing in the air, it roars and struggles to get loose from whatever was carrying it. The males glance at one another, and they turn back just in time to see the upside-down creature be tossed off the mountain. They looked at where is was tossed from, and they see several small creatures, which apparently carried the creature to the edge, and tossed it. They spread out, going back in the opposite direction they came from. They turn around, seeing both bodies already eaten by the female and the cannon creatures. They all head back to the cave, and just as the sun fell, they arrived at the cave.

Sasha heads over to the Barracks, to check on the Captain. She knew his history, and knew he had trouble accepting orders from others, but he was good at giving them, and he had many medals for fighting against the Zerg in battles which ended in them being completely wiped out, hive and everything. That impressed his peers, but it didn't do much for Sasha. She steps into the Barracks, and spreads her mind out as a net to find people while carrying out the search visually. She walks into the Officer's Mess, and not finding him there, she heads out to find his room. She looks in psioincally, and finds no one in there. Sasha opens the door and looks around the room. The Captain had taken some of his things, and a pair of pistols. She pulls out her radio, and starts using Morse Code.

Thomas hears his communicator beep and reaches for it, but stops as soon as he realizes the pattern of the beeping.
- .... . / -.-. .- .--. - .- .. -. / .-.. . ..-. - --..-- / ... .. .-. .-.-.- (The Captain left, sir.)
He takes his communicator out, and asks "Did he take anything in particular?" The response was quick:
... --- -- . / -.-. .-.. --- - .... . ... / .- -. -.. / .- / .--. .- .. .-. / --- ..-. / .--. .. ... - --- .-.. ... .-.-.- (Some clothes and a pair of pistols.) She coded back.
"Great. Can you go find him for me, please? He'll be useful, for he's fought these things." He asks.
-.-- . ... --..-- / ... .. .-. .-.-.- (Yes, sir.) She coded back, and Thomas put his communicator back.
"So, the creatures got up to the Arena.....What happened afterward?" He asks, continuing his story with the troops.
