You Were Dropped!

Getting ''Waiting for Server" screen, followed by the You were Dropped! menu.
Never had this problem during WoL.

5mbps connection (Which has been fine for many years running nearly every MMO/RTS on the market for me), hardwired connection through a modem.

Anyone have any idea what the hell is going on?

The best part about this whole problem is when I go to join a NEW game after being dropped from a previous one, I essentially have to LOG out of the game to even be able to join new ranked matches.

Summary of problem:

Enter game
Time ~3-5 minutes into the game I get ''WAITING FOR SERVER" pop-up box
30-60 seconds later I get "You've been Dropped!"
Attempt to join a new ranked match
Ranked match says "Game Ready!"
Countdown never starts, essentially indicating that I've been dropped again.
Log out, rage, log back in
Join a new ranked match, play it to completion.
Join a new ranked match (this would be #4 for those keeping up) and the cycle starts all over again.

Just tried to join a new match, load completed, game started. I was immediately dropped.

Ponji, do you have other computers on your network for comparison?

In any case, I'd clear and reset StarCraft II's cache:

1) Delete the Battle.net cache
2) Delete the Blizzard Entertainment folder
3) Run the Repair

I'm currently only running one PC on my network at the moment, and i have no other pc's capable of running SC2.

I'll take your suggested steps to fix the problem.

I just don't understand how I can have no problems playing WoW and no problems getting disconnected, and then i log over to SC2 and it's disconnect city. Network architecture must be completely different from one another, so i'm completely lost.

Will update in the event that your suggestions prevent future dropping

Just got randomly dropped again for no reason. Playing a 1v1 ranked match, no PC's on my network other than my current computer.

This is after running the suggested steps Velnrak provided.

No end in sight to this garbage.

Two of your pathpings showed packet loss between your computer and modem. Have you unplugged the modem for a minutes to reset it?

I reset the router on a regular basis because when I try to connect an addition PC via the wireless ports, the connection comes up as dead. I've called my cable company about this issue, and as always it's "not on their end".

Not sure what else to do, beyond smashing the modem/router to bits and hoping the cable company will give me a new one.

I'd ask them if they can issue you a different model. What's the current model?

I spoke with my CableOne representative, and I was informed that while running SC2 i'm using my maximum allowable upload speed - which is 500kbs.

I'm not sure if this is ''normal'', but like I said before, I was playing WoL with NO problems in connectivity, and I was NEVER dropped with the same ISP. After running a full diagnostic check of my router, and connection, the my representative said that the only thing impacting my connection at this point was the fact that my main computer, while connected to SC2 servers, apparently sucks the life out of my upload bandwidth.

I'm not sure if this is by design, or if there's some sort of coding error on blizzard's end that makes the game send more data than is required, however, this issue needs to be seriously looked into. I know i'm not the only person experiencing this problem, and I feel like i'm being punished because no one seems to have reasonable suggestions - except for the CableOne rep who suggested I could shell out another 40$ a month to get their fastest speed internet available.

I'm on a budget, and to be honest, since i never had problems with my internet prior to the launch of this expansion, I shouldn't have to shell out extra money to play the game.
Any other suggestions are welcome.
