StarCraft® II

You Were Dropped!

I was also dropped from 5 games tonight, all resulting in Losses.

I'm so glad that my ranking is suffering because there's a problem somewhere which either side refuses to claim.

Hey Ponji I'm having this same exact issue to the fkn T I as well have CableOne as my provider. and I wouldn't shell out more $ cuz I have that 50mb package and i'm still getting the same issues you are. All though on my end i'm pretty much going to be doomed with bronze because I can't finish a replay alone a friggin ranked match. And it can't be the router due to the fact I think you stated that you have the router from cableone as where I do not. I have a netgear wireless N router that prolly isn't even a year old yet.

just want to see some blue here so I can enjoy my game again

So Velnrak explain to me what would happen if SCII is requiring 2.5mb of upload info and some of us i.e. Ponji and I can't reach that cuz our service provider maxes out at 2mb of upload? and right now in my area there are only 2 companies that will offer "High Speed" internet one is the package I have with 50mb DL speed and 2mb up. and the other company is a 20mb DL with 12mb up. Now here's the kicker, I am one block out of range of the 20 with 12 or I would have that. So now that we're here on my playing field I dropped 2k into my new tower, and can't get better upload... so what am I to do here bud? I'm not calling you out I just want you in my shoes for a moment and see that I'm not frustrated at you, I just want to let you know that when I connect to HotS multi-player/ replays that it seems that we're maxing out our upload speed causing us to drop. Now I have no idea why we would need more than 2mb for one application, I can't say but if you could get back to us on this, that would be amazing bud ^.^

So Velnrak I was on the phone with CableOne and gave them my tracert's and pathping's. NOW
we have done some looking and it seems that the second that AT&T comes into play that's where the packet loss and all the high up load is coming from? Just informing you that it's out of our hands. We can't do anything about it and neither can CableOne. So AT&T is your culprit whether or not you can do anything about it and not assuming that that is who your going through to link to us but that is where the problem as I see it is. So if you could please look into this that would be worlds of amazing and I know your a very busy person with these forums, I just ask that you look there because it seems your netz and my netz aren't playing well together. :P
Hope to hear back from you soon man!

Well I hope to hear something soon because I'm not playing ranked till this is resolved, and I can't even enjoy unranked because of the dropping. Please oh please fix this, I don't like playing Tera when my buds aren't on. Help a guy out here :(
Reply Quote
well now it's kinda pointless to even play unranked because it's dropping that much.... need some blue here
Reply Quote
I doubt we'll see a response from a blue until at least Monday, if not Tuesday.

Regardless, I was going to talk to CableOne about upgrading to the 50mpbs down / 2mbps upload (as that's their ''fastest'' speed), but seeing as though Nith already has the connection I'm weary about wasting the money to upgrade my connection, when it seems as though it's either AT&T, or perhaps SCII as I proposed earlier.

If it's AT&T, a blizzard rep needs to get in touch with their company, as I'm sure THEIR customers are enduring the same garbage as Blizzard's customers.

If it's Blizzard - Maybe you guys should start looking into excessive upload rates caused my the game coding. As most of us having this problem have stated before, this wasn't a problem during WoL ever. What changed in the way the game is processed through server traffic that might be causing this problem? Why, while playing SC2, is my upload rate completely maxed out? (granted, currently only 500kbps, but still, it's not maxed w/ WoW and running)

Any other alternative solutions would be great, as I'm SUPER tired of not being able to play ranked matches to completion

as am I, this is just ridiculous... so here I play vs. A.I. seems to be the only way I can play. if I wanted to play against the comp i'd just do campaign... but i'm sick of campaign atm... really wish this would be prioritized

Well, unfortunately if Tech Support and the developers/programmers aren't in direct communication and there isn't a problem on their end (from their point of view), then the process is significantly delayed.

Also, if it's another company with issues, then the process is also extremely delayed. Blizzard or someone has to contact that company, and then they have to debug, etc.

It's problematic all the way around, and it's incredibly frustrating for us to sit here and deal with it.

yeah that's for sure, only so much of vs. A.I. I can really do b4 I get REALLY bored with it :P

though I am slowly finding out I may be better with toss than zerg :P I suck with terran :(
but if your looking for a vs. A.I. buddy lol you know I don't have anything else to do :P

Bump, as no solution has been presented, and... yeah... Tech support needs to support this stuff.

YEAH DROPPED AGAIN! HOOORAY!

So i actually downloaded a monitor to track internet activity on my computer.

Here's what happens.

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/826/mbpsusage.png/

UL is Yellow, DL is Red

Basically, while playing a match my DL/UL seems ''stable''. Then, magically, my UL SPIKES THROUGH THE GODDANG ROOF, and I'm dropped from the game.

I'm not really sure what it means, but after monitoring my own activity, I think i can safely say it's not the router/modem, and it's probably not my ISP.

I m having the same issue, a "waiting for server" screen and only surrender option. Internet is all right. I ran the repaire of XP that sdisabel and enabel the connection while having this screen and it was like a joke when in the low left side a message saing "you are connected to battelnet" appeared and the "waiting for server" message still there... i don t know how to trace or pathfind... i don t know too much about TI... but i m from sudamerica so my internet connection can t be the same of Ponji and Nithilus, my modem is a ZTE(a chinise one i think) and the model is zxv10...

I m moving my pc to a friend house i ll try there and post what happens... wish me luck

P.D: sorry for the bad spelling U.U

Good luck, though i doubt it'll help. Unfortunately it seems like the issue is either on Blizzard's end, unbeknownst to their tech people, or in between US and Blizzard (Like AT&T or something)
Reply Quote
Yeah I should try my neighbors nets and see what happens I just don't know what they'll think when I haul my big a$$ tower and everything over there :P wouldn't hurt to try though... I'm intrigued. On the flip side of this Shikasta are you using a cable broad band or a DSL dial up?
