The Terran vs Protoss Thread

I play mech in all match-ups. For opening, I do a delayed 1-1-1 where I drop a CC in my main before starting the starport. Getting an early widow mine helps stop oracles as well as basically anything they will throw at you.


I do the same opening in my tvp, but I'm unsure when it's safe to cut marine production and float down to my natural.

Still 1rax FE like in wol with slight adjustments if they open double gas. Haven't really had any problems yet. Instead of floating the factory over though I use it for mine drops or possibly hellbats if they open heavy zlot.

Ok guys, sorry for my AFKness, but I just got off a 10 day work stretch. That'll take it out of you.

So, looking over the thread, I see several things. Mech is still viable, it seems, as a lot of players are opting for that. Also early pressure can still work, though your timings are more important, and if that damn overcharge starts hammering, you just got to wait it out. this gives the protoess time for two more warp-ins with crono, but its just something we'll have to deal with

I also wanted to share this replay. This isn't mine, and I got it from a friend of mine, but it is a damn good master player named Rebecca going against another master protoss named FXOFuture. this reply is awesome. I believe this is how TvP should be played. Great timings, ghost micro, and small army engagements. The terran really is the better player, but because of DT's, she ends up losing. But still an AWESOME game to watch and learn from!

Ive been playing my heart out with bio and getting crushed.
I have recently switched back to hammers 1-1-1 and have had success with it thus far.

No losses out of 3 match ups diamond toss.

it works well in diamond... does decent in masters... i might go back to it as well depending how my bio journey goes...

i do my own unique bio build with early pressure... havent played enuff toss yet tho to know how its doing..

if i go bak to mech it will be getting a deathball of battle hellions, thors, and banshees and a moving like a protoss across the map

Killer, I really don't know. A possible tip off is that he had double gas with a robo building and three gate. But that could have one of three different one base pushes. Another tipoff could have been scanning or scouting and finding no army. Thats a hell of a lot of gas being harvested...where is it going? As far as finding his tech, good luck. Toss can hide it anywhere, and scouting every patch of darkness is unpractical.

I'm really starting to lean towards making sure I have a engy bay at 6 minutes and a turrent in each line, simply because of this and other harassment options now possessed by toss.

yea maybe your right...I mean 3 gate robo...how would i possibly get dt out of that....my last reaction would be detection, my first would be immortal sentry. Or hes just being safe as i did not expand either...which is what i thought at the time...

So hard...
