"The Moral Implications of allowing koreans into a regional tournament"??? are you serious dude?? how about the moral implications of denying someone access based on their ethnicity?? give me a break >.>
Its not about race its simply because the koreans already have an established system for their SC2 players where they can improve in better environments. While they built this up over time they didnt have to worry about NA or EU players coming in and taking ALL their prize money and making them look like absolute scrubs at the game who dont desvere to be sponsored. (Its becoming harder and harder for foreign teams to justify to their sponsors why they are keeping and picking up foreigners who cant compete with koreans who just win everything)
Think of it this way someone in NA currently who is looking to go pro has to do so by completely funding their lifestyle and practicing starcraft 2 side by side. This means they have to work a normal job for their house, their food, internet, gas, etc etc etc while they also spent hours upon hours training at SC2. Korean players don't have to worry about this right now because they have already established academies and team housing for players and up and comers so those guys can play 12 hours a day straight without any other worry but starcraft.
Its like mixing the major league and minor league teams in baseball, or itd be like bringing the american baseball teams into the Dominican leagues. we'd go in there take all the money and leave them nothing they wouldn't be able to beat us. We already have the coaching they don't, the support they don't, the set regime that they don't and that's exactly what Korea is doing to the NA and EU scene. People like yourself want to make this about skin color (something no one is paying attention to) and not the skill gap the KR scene is getting away with doing that.
You may argue "well then foreigners should just practice harder and get better to catch up." Which is true they do need to practice harder and play better to catch up but they cant get the opportunity to play the same hours the koreans do until they dont have to worry about rent at the end of the week like the koreans. It's also going to be very hard for any up and coming NA players to finally show their skills against other players in their region when they get knocked out by a Korean who has been at the highest level for awhile now, probably has a coach, probably has korean practice partners he's trained with, and is just stomping lowly NA players till he faces more koreans in the NA region tournaments.
Koreans do no have a superior genetic ability to play starcraft however they have a MUCH better environment to currently that they developed and now the foreigners have a chance to get that same environment established now however we wont be able to while korean players come in and take every opportunity away and people like you making this a race issue is only increasing the chance that we wont ever see a foreigner style pro league
EDit: i apologize for any typos or grammar errors i dont usually type up a wall of text like this but im sick of morons not seeing the bigger picture and just herp derping about making this about race when it isnt
