Zerg Viper: Useful or Useless?

They are our only saving grace in late game IMO.

Without them it's impossible to beat a 200 supply army of T or P.

in a competitive level vipers are used in almost every single game, sometimes even zvz late game with roach hydra infestor.

Vipers are great, if you can hit a hydra viper timing before protoss gets templar you basically freewin. Super lategame in all matchups the idea of abducting things into static defense is very common. Think usage of vipers and infestors in tandem will be something explored more by zergs in coming months, blinding cloud + fungal and abduct + neural being really synergistic abilities.

Agreed, I have been using them a lot more and it makes those deathballs so much easier to deal with, yet some battles I lost and I am still scratching my head how I lost lol

I'm so behind and my macro slips from early pressure but getting vipers makes killing collosi armies absent templars so easy.


Yeah, that was a very good use of the vipers to grab the collosi. The more I use the viper and watch people use it, the more I like it ^_^
