Next Terran Unit: Banshee
Previous Terran Unit: Medivac
The Raven is an all-around workhorse that combines the functions of a surveillance drone and a combat engineer. A common sight among the fringe-world colonies, these robust air-mobile vehicles are built to operate independently in harsh climates. Ravens excel in protection and reconnaissance due to their defensive Auto-Turrets and their advanced sensors, which can detect cloaked or burrowed enemies. The Terran Dominion initially designed the Raven to give low-level protection to its most isolated outposts, but recently the Raven has been used in escalating levels of conflict to replace the older and costlier Science Vessel.

Units
Raven
Flight Manual
- Support craft with detection capabilities, it can also deploy Auto-Turrets and Point Defense Drones. Can also gain Seeker Missile ability.
- Use it to reveal cloaked/burrowed units or hallucinations and to support your troops.
- Vulnerable to enemy fire, so keep it protected and hot-keyed to a different control group.
- Do a diversionary assault on the front of the enemy base while you use a few Ravens to deploy Auto-Turrets behind the enemy’s mineral line.
- Launch Point Defense Drones to protect your units from enemy missiles.
Tech Lab Upgrades
- Corvid Reactor: increases the starting energy of Ravens by 25.
- Durable Materials: extends the timed duration of Raven Auto Turrets, Seeker Missiles, and Point Defense Drones.
- Seeker Missile: enables Ravens to use the Seeker Missile ability. This missile chases its target. It has enough fuel for 15 seconds and deals up to 100 area damage.
Countermeasures
VS Terran
- Place Missile Turrets behind your mineral line and send in Marines or a couple Thors.
- Be sure to attack them from different sides in case of Seeker Missiles – be ready to run away if they attack you with these.
- Use Ghosts to drain the Ravens’ energy by means of EMP rounds.
VS Zerg
- Use the Queen in tandem with a few well placed Spore Crawlers.
- Don’t clump up your units and always attack from two sides at once.
- Mutalisks are the best to take them down due to their superior speed. They can outrun the Seeker Missile without too much trouble.
- If you have Hydralisks, be sure to have the Grooved Spines upgrade and always attack from two sides at once or spread out.
VS Protoss
- Cover your probes with Photon Cannons.
- Focus fire the Ravens using Stalkers. Be prepared to use Blink to run away from their Seeker Missile or ensure a kill on a damaged Raven.
- Use the High Templar Feedback ability to drain their energy and deal damage. If the Raven’s energy reserves are full, they will die in one cast of this ability.
- The Phoenix is fast and does extra damage against Ravens, and its speed gives it a good chance to escape from seeker missiles.

MASS RAVENS!!!!
really fast omg
EYE!
but since jetfireprime will say its the best between the overseer and the observer
but heres the reasons why i call it the second best as a offensive detector. better than overseers but not as good as observer. cost- beats the overseer by 50 minerals, but looses points for costing more gas and minerals than the observer, practicality- the observer and overseer are more practical, the raven requires extra upgrades to work better. invisibility- no competition here. specialist abilities- the observer looses here against the overlord and raven, but between the two, scouting is a job for the overseer's changeling, but the raven is better attacker.
least to best
3. overseer- no way of defending itself. making itself an high priority target for guys who owns allot of invisibles
2. raven- can defend itself very well, but requires lots of resources to be poured into it. its serve as a great support unit. also noneffective against large amounts of anti air buildings
1. observer- cheap- is invisible. cant attack but gives it less chance to be given away and is good scout
you can respond me with your opinion. remember this is not cold hard facts they are my own opinion
