General Strategy
- Light infantry unit that can attack ground targets.
- This is the first military unit that Protoss can build; all you need is a Gateway.
- Tough and hard-hitting, but expensive compared to other tier 1 units such as Marines.
- Powerful combatants, their weakness is the time it takes them to reach their target. Susceptible to kiting as well.
- Researching Charge will allow your Zealots to instantly close the gap to their target.
- Can be warped into the battlefield quickly by means of a Warp Gate.
- Increase their survivability to ranged attacks by having a Sentry with Guardian Shield.
Upgrades
- Charge: Allows Zealots to automatically intercept nearby enemies, and is a passive increase to their movement speed.
Countermeasures
VS Terran
- Reapers are very effective against Zealots due to their speed and damage.
- Hellions excel against Zealots after you research the Infernal Pre-Igniter upgrade.
- A mix of Marines and Marauders should do the job, but do not fight in the open.
VS Zerg
- Roaches are a great counter to Zealots, especially if you research the movement speed upgrade.
- Spawn an Infestor or two and cast Fungal Growth on the Zealots and use ranged units such as Hydralisks to pick them off.
VS Protoss
- Build a force of Stalkers and kite the enemy Zealots.
- Summon a few Sentries and fight the enemy at a spot where you could easily separate his troops with a well- placed force field.
- Construct a few Colossi.

Granted 3/3/3 chargelots are strong as hell, but it just kills me seeing 2 marines do the circle dance with a helpless zealot chasing.
The zealot acts as one of the best meatshields in the game. Stalkers are fragile so when you have Collosi and Immortals in your army composition, the army will fall relatively easily. Plus, using Zealots as a cover for Dark Templars will allow you to pick off frontline units without the enemy's notice...
I want to find DPS for the units without having to build them and write it down in-game.
