Battle.net is a centralized, convenient account system that will allow you to manage all of your Blizzard games. Think of this as a hub where all of your games are housed. If you would like to play Diablo II, StarCraft II or World of Warcraft, you will go to one place to launch the game of your choice. Create Your Account
- Select your country or territory of residence.
- Provide your date of birth and legal first and last name.
- Establish a username and password.
Your username for the Battle.net account is your email address. Choose a Secret Question and provide an accurate answer. You will need to know the answer to the Secret Question for verification purposes, as well as many online services we provide.
If the email address is already in use, you will receive the following error message:
Keep in mind if you previously had an online store account with us, also known as a Blizzard account, you will not need to create a Battle.net account. All Blizzard accounts have been converted to Battle.net accounts.
If you did not have a Blizzard account and you receive this error, contact us.
Account Email Verification
Review the account information you entered and edit any incorrect information. If you are satisfied with the contact information you provided, click Create Account.
You will now need to verify your email address and complete the account creation process by clicking on the link sent to you via email.
Clicking the link in this email adds another layer of security to protect the account and verifies your identity. This email verification can prevent many account related issues before they arise, and this is required to add games to the Battle.net account.
