Set Up Email Filters for Battle.net and Blizzard.com

If a password reset email was sent and you did not receive it, it may be in your Junk or SPAM folder, or the contact details associated with your account may be invalid. 


It is very important to ensure your spam filter is properly configured to allow emails from @blizzard.com and @battle.net so that you receive our messages.

To make sure you will receive our emails, you can add us to an email "whitelist". Choose the email provider below that your Battle.net account is registered to and proceed to set up your email filter. If your email provider is not below, please check with the provider directly for assistance.

MSN/Hotmail

  1. Log in to your Hotmail account.
  2. Click on the Hotmail link to view your inbox.
  3. Click on the Options link in the top right, select More Options from the drop down.
  4. Click on the Safe and Blocked Senders link under the Preventing Junk Email header.
  5. Click on the first option: Safe Senders.  Here you can add an address or domain to Safe List.
  6. Type blizzard.com in the available field and click the Add to List button.
  7. Repeat this for battle.net
  8. You will now see @blizzard.com and @battle.net listed in the Safe List section.

Gmail

Gmail does not use an active spam filter, but instead filters emails dependent on your actions. It will only filter emails as spam if you choose to mark them as spam. The spam folder may be hidden so follow these steps to show it:

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Click the Options icon on the top right corner and select Mail Settings.
  3. Click the Labels tab
  4. Scroll down to Spam and click on show
  5. Locate the email from @battle.net or @blizzard.com, open it, and click the Not spam button.

Yahoo

  1. Log in to your Yahoo email account.
  2. Click Options in the upper right
  3. Select Mail Options
  4. Click the Filters link on the left side of the page
  5. Click Add Filter
  6. Click the drop down window next to sender and select "ends with"
  7. In the blank field to the right enter @blizzard.com
  8. Select the drop down in the Move to Folder section near the bottom.
  9. Choose Inbox.
  10. Click on the Add Filter button at the top.
  11. Repeat steps for @battle.net
