Request for System Files (DxDiag, MSInfo, and Error Reports)

Keywords: dxdiag, msinfo, system, profiler, information

Blizzard Technical Support may request your system files in order to diagnose and troubleshoot an issue. The system files are a snapshot of your computer’s hardware and software configuration that we review in order to resolve your issue quickly and effectively.

Instructions on how to obtain your system files are below and are broken down by operating system (XP, Vista, 7, and Mac). Once we receive your system files, we typically check your driver dates and also check that the components on your system meet our minimum requirements. Depending on the issue you report, we look at sections of the system files to provide a targeted solution. If you would like to self-diagnose or simply learn more about how your computer works, contact your hardware manufacturer.
