Thanks to the amazing support of our community of players, World of Warcraft: Cataclysm has sold more than 4.7 million copies as of its first month of release, setting a new record for monthly PC-game sales. I think the price for each month should change into a Xbox type thing where u pay one fixed price for a whole year but also waaay cheeper. This each month thing and how expensive it is.. is hard for some people to pay.. Like a fixed price of $100.00 for a year would be sick i would definitely pay that no problem. I think they should look into it. They will still make billions ahah..

@Sacredboom: Makes sense when you consider that Cata was not avalible in China at that time since Wrath was only just released over there a month or two before.

l love everything about Cata.
It's difficult end game content and leveling is a bit more fun now.
I'm thankful to be playing such a well put together game.

They make a quarter of a billion of the expansion, not to mention monthly fees, merchandising, etc, and still have to charge us what, $30 for a race change which is an automated process?

@Strife: they knew that by the release date, a buntch of player we're going to use the race change nomather what in order to be an attard wolf man that walks like he have something in his butt or a little green man. so why not making money with us? 30$ times the number of race change is enough to compensate cataclysm's release and marketing lol.

look for god sakes the 5 man heroics are solely gear dependent....... you have to have skill to do these dungeons it eliminates the scrubs from my raids. if you want to quit this game do so and go paly rune-scape with all the other 12 year olds. the heroics are fine in my opinion and are fun and challenging which is what the wow community asked for.

Wow is on its way out. I have just recently quit and moved to playing Lord of the Rings, a vastly superior game to wow in both customer service and game play.

@Goldelocks: Your opinion lacks any form of facts or data that supports your position. As a matter of fact Blizzard has data that includes the fact that they recently past 4.7 MILLION copies of the expansion sold in a month that I would posit supports the notion that in fact the game is becoming more popular as more people are purchasing it. My recommendation for you is if you are going to posit a notion or opinion that you have some data to back it up in the future. I'm just sayin......

@Thorlock: 4.7 Million may have been sold, but no one ever said that 4.7 million were Satisfied players. Thats like ford saying "we have sold more cars/trucks than Toyota Dodge and Chevy combined!" , but 3/4 of them broke down within the first month, and were returned or never used again. Numbers are very easy to manipulate to make it look good, or bad.

i just love this game and have enjoyed every second in it
people complain and maybe thats what they do
but without the game there would be nothing to complain abaout
