Weaponsmithing Fan Art Contest Winners

The final results are in! Participants were asked to create a full-sized weapon replica of their choice (based on an in-game item from World of Warcraft).

Winners were selected based on accuracy and creativity.

Prize Information

Grand Prize: Winner receives one (1) Frostmourne Replica Sword with Ice Shard display stand ($629 value).

Five (5) Finalist Prizes (one for each category): Winners receive a $50 Epic Weapons gift certificate, awarded for the following categories:

Best Dagger • Best Mace • Best Sword

Best Ranged • Best of the Rest

What makes me LOL the most is that 4 / 5 of these are old world items! The best weapon / armor designs were in BC / vanilla, Oh how far we've fallen and how lazy we've gotten, hmm blizz? Maybe this is a sign to rehire the japanese weapon designers?

also.. yeah ulduar gear is ALSO... some of the coolest in game(best raid of lich king Xpac)

Boooooo no honorable mentions at least?? I along with a lot of others spent a lot of time on our entries! We derseve some recognition too!
My entries. They're not the best, but I had fun creating them anyway :D

You know what disappoints me? ... No Shadowmourne. ... I have waited and waited for somone to build a good replica. ... ... I need to find a skilled blacksmith who will craft it for me. ... Now I just need to find 25 Blood of the Death God... in RL. Uranium should work right?
