Happy Holidays

We now approach that special time of year when the denizens of Azeroth come together to celebrate good times and remembrances in many ways. Holiday events include opportunities to complete quests, participate in unique activities, and earn achievements that are only available once per year. Here is a list of all the festive in-game events through the rest of the year.

Darkmoon Faire -- Sunday, October 2 through Saturday, October 8; Sunday, November 6 through Saturday, November 12; Sunday December 4 through Saturday, December 10.

Hallow’s End -- Tuesday, October 18 through Monday, October 31.

Day of the Dead -- Tuesday, November 1 through Wednesday, November 2.

Pilgrim’s Bounty -- Sunday, November 20 through Saturday, November 26.

Feast of Winter Veil -- Thursday, December 15 through Monday, January 2.

 

Don’t forget that every weekend is a holiday if you’re an angler!

Kalu’ak Fishing Derby -- Every Saturday at 2:00 p.m. server time.

Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza -- Every Sunday at 2:00 p.m. server time.

I miss the OLD Brill at Hallows End. The pumpkins and the buildings were the BEST...now its just dumb, old plague buildings....*sigh*

I love the holiday events. I try to be at the time the calendar turns over to start them right away. Thank you blizzard for implementing these holidays into the game.

I love the way WOW adds holidays into the game :0) it keeps it interesting sure does help melt stress after being at work all day

Hallow's End is by far my favorite Holiday. Though I've been to every single one, done it as many times as possible through max level characters.. I've never even *seen* the mount! I know others who have experienced this, and while it won't make or break this years Hallow's End (I still love the title, have some new characters who need it), I'd love to finally see one. Even if someone else gets it in their bag. :)

@Vyri: I know how that feels. Since Burning Crusade, I've done Hallows End, each and every day. No luck at all. I remember when we used to be able to grab a group, and summon the boss 5 times. I liked those odds better than the one bag per day scenario.

@Vyri: Last year, I ran the dungeon on my main. 3 or 4 people I randomly grouped with got the mount. That same character has both Brewfest mounts. I ran Corin Direbrew each day this year on my other 3 85s, got a ton of smashers & bloodied shankers, but no mount. It's a matter of luck, I guess.

@Zerstoerte: 3 or 4 people I grouped with got the Headless Horseman's mount I should say. I tend to leave out important details when I'm tired.

@Letharian: the DK's Tier13 is the Headless Horseman's set. We get to cackle endlessly, and do terrible dps.

No seriously they arent going to release it until Nov 1st on the Day of the DEAD!!

@Deathcrisis: Mastery is nice and all but it BETTER have some epic design that is more epic than the warrior t13. I would like a headless horseman thing with the slate black armor and green flames. I would also love to cackle endlessly and just maybe if that happens I will farm every day for that mount to complete the set.

Day of the Dead: love it. First time I see a Latin American tradition in wow. But the thing I have always felt I dunno a little bit "douchie" is the fact that it has the only pet you cannot learn. Even worse the pet you can only use ONCE in your characters life time. once you get it you never get the quest ever to get that pet again.

I mean seriously a little skeleton with maracas and a sombrero... please I have asked this for 3 years almost.. make the day of the dead pet a real pet this year.

@Hasegawa: I so agree... I miss him one of my favorite pets. And the skull mask is my favorite head item in the game. I dont get it why we keep our pumpkin head from halloween, but not the skull mask. :(
