@Oma: Well nvm my last (?) just went to ebay and the starting bids are in the low $120.ish and top out so far at the high $245.ish Now if only I haddn't spent that $150. on the motted drake wowtcg/loot card. oh well

What I meant to ask is, are these authentic servers? Most of of the server updates were done in Wrath. So if people are saying 1 server per expansion, Cataclysm was already on the new hardware.

@Gorefury: There are 4 per realm. And they are authentic.

@Impissedbro: They are old servers, that the information has been copied off of, and has been put on a new server hence "upgraded"

@Alfisaelf: These are the old ones they already switched out that had been in use since launch in 2004. They didn't say directly but I am assuming the replaced the server blades over time during random maintenance periods.

They have however, in the old forums and possibly even the new ones, stated that they have many back ups of everything and everyone in multiple places so your likely hood of avatars being deleted is virtually zero percent.

Oh and the blades are one usable, they have been disabled and there is no info on them at all and assuming that its a high profiting company and have money to burn, they most likely are 100% certain nothing is left on the server blade memory and know how to erase it professionally.

These are just my assumptions so take as you wish!

@Iceols: That's all good though, at least whatever it was sold for went to children cancer research. I mean they could have just thrown them away, destroyed or had them recycled but they sell them to you so you can destroy them and in turn, from all the fun destroying them, you helped some kids fight cancer!

@Energíze: They specifically said that no Wow data will be stored on these and that they are non-functional.

@Ondrax: They can try all they want, but you can never get rid of a bad troll.

@Bløødwolf: This, my friend, is an HP Server Blade, the thing that contains data for multiple WoW realms. The ones they are auctioning off are the old, outdated ones that do not contain the server info anymore. It's just something to have as a nice piece of WoW history if you're into that sort of thing.

Don't worry, your server is not being auctioned off to some random fat greasy WoW player with a nervous twitch and pale skin from lack of sunshine.
