http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blade_server

"A blade server is a stripped down server computer with a modular design optimized to minimize the use of physical space and energy. Whereas a standard rack-mount server can function with (at least) a power cord and network cable, blade servers have many components removed to save space, minimize power consumption and other considerations, while still having all the functional components to be considered a computer. A blade enclosure, which can hold multiple blade servers, provides services such as power, cooling, networking, various interconnects and management. Together, blades and the blade enclosure form the blade system. (Different blade providers have differing principles regarding what to include in the blade itself, and in the blade system altogether.)"

@Kinwani: is this your first Tuesday server down maintenance day, well it must be, welcome to WoW. Often, but not always, Mr. and Mrs. Blizzard shut down the servers to do maintenance to keep things shiny and new. We can't play during this shut down. The time it takes to complete the chores varies. We know when they are back up because we can then play. "On my launcher" you'll also notice it does not say "we will be back online at exactly [set your watch to it] 11:00 am". It does say, sorta, approximately. There in lies your answer grasshopper. Again, welcome to WoW, a very cool game, worth the wait.

I want one of the ones that brought down Dalaran for four days after Vanilla's release. I would certainly buy one of those.

@Donnicton: Dalaran was not there for Vanilla's release, were you playing then? I would guess not. Dalaran is WotLK release.

@Erahgon: yeah dude, u need to learn the lore i mean majorly man. Dalaran was in Hillsbrad as the area where all mages would learn the art of magic. the city of dalaran was lets say Warcraft's version of Hogwarts. Back in vanilla Dalaran was more like stormwind then they took the city out of hillsbrand later on dureing vanilla when there were way less realms up. Dalaran didn't look like a blood elf city like it does now, check for yourself in hillsbrad u can see the crater for yourself. as well as the spots the sewer pipes would of been for the underbelly.

@Erahgon: Says the guy who was not around. Remember that giant pink dome bubble that was in Hillsbrad foothills? Oh wait you wouldn't because you apparently did not play. Don't pretend to be an original when we all know you were probably a wrath kiddy.
