World of Warcraft’s Seventh Anniversary!

World of Warcraft turns seven on November 23, 2011! It’s been a truly incredible seven years, and we’d like to thank you all for joining us for yet another fantastic year. To celebrate, players who log into the game between November 20 and December 3 will earn a feat of strength added to their Achievements and a “Celebration Package” item. Using your item will get the celebrations rolling by shooting off fireworks*, applying a (visual only) tabard to your character, and granting a 7% bonus to experience and reputation gains while active.

We look forward to another year of adventures ahead and many more to come!

*Please observe all goblin and gnome fire hazard warnings and celebrate responsibly.

i have to say thank you the thought was nice and all but sence i actually like to lvl my toons it wasnt the right gift for me too bad i couldnt take it back too the store and get somthing i wanted.lol no trully thanks for thinking of us, I look forward to many more years of entertainment.

Half you look at this backwards. I thought it was more like "hey thanks for the $1176." (14*12*7 excluding costs for the original game/bc/cata) I hate to be the cheapo that brings it up, but nothing in WOW is free. At least not for me, though I'm sure some of the employees get their accounts for free...

Seriously guys? Even when we are given something free we complain? I for one thank Blizz for the 7% EP. Along with RAF XP i lvl'd a toon pretty darn fast. Happy 7th!!!!!

Thank you Blizzard for seven years of fun, and hopefully more to come. I think it was a great idea for the XP boost and rep boost, but on my 85 I don't do much rep grinding, and I can't get any more XP, so it didn't do my main much good.

I like how people are complaining about not receiving something for doing nothing. Why would you get a gift on THEIR birthday anyways? Them giving us anything at all is very generous, even if it's just temporary.

well 7% extra xp or rep wot a gip last year was a lot better as were all other years.... sorry to see you guys can't come up with a better way to celebrate you could have drawn toons out of the servers for a free years wow subscription 7 on each server would have been a lot better than 7% rep or xp gain for the week of the birthday celebrations.

Well, I enjoyed the 7% exp gain on my leveling toons. I, however, logged in today to find that it has disappeared, I guess it was just a here have fun while it lasts. Perhaps I should not have expected it to be permanent

this was a great gift for my DK and warlock. got lock up to 84 and DK to 81 (lock from 72 to 84 and dk from 68 to 81) personally ive played sence pre wrath(lost 1st account to some hacker made this one in pre cata)I dislike people complaining they dont get their quote"SO IMPORTANT" pets/mounts/tabards.you dont get what you want all the time kids. so backup stop complaing and APPRICIATE YOU EVEN GOT SOMETHING. ty all is said.

Quite disappointed with this reward. For those people that have 85's and don't rep grind or want to level another character, this is kind of lack luster.
I would have been happier with something I could have actually used and or kept like a pet or an item that doesn't have a duration. Just my two cents anyway..

Hi, Just wanted to say the 7% REP boost is kinda ok. 0.07 for every 1.0 of REP, So you need @ least 15 REP to get 1 REP point. I feel bad for the low-b's who get something like 1-5 REP per turn in for quest. Slow going for them.

i'm not going to lie, i was hoping for a pet. BUT, this is nice at 85 for rep running. "and we’d like to thank you all for joining us for yet another fantastic year. " No Thank YOU Blizz for making these 7 years of gameplay that much fun. you never let us down. so on behalf of myself and my brother that have been playing this game for many years, thank YOU for the epic years and more to come. =]

The Xp/rep boost is only for 1 hour but you can apply it time after time until celebrations are over.

im upset because i was never around to get any of the pet rewards from wows anniversary, if i had of gotten at least 1 pet from blizz i would be happy with the extra xp/rep. But now i will probably never see a year where they give pets because everything was better back in BC. the only thing ive got is the celestial steed which i had to buy.
