Mists of Pandaria Talent Calculator Now Available

As previously announced at BlizzCon 2011, class talents are undergoing some significant changes in the next World of Warcraft expansion. Learn more about these changes and test out different builds for all your favorite classes with our new Mists of Pandaria Talent Calculator, available here!

We’re excited to be able to provide players with the opportunity to explore this new talent system and look forward to hearing your feedback. As with all previews, we ask that you please keep in mind that Mists of Pandaria and its class talents are still under development. This means that many of the spells and abilities you see in the Talent Calculator are not yet final and may change before release.

really were we ever "unique" ? all you had to do was google best spec tree and copy it and people were done speccing.

I have to agree with most of the posts on here that we feel that we have lost some of our ability to be "unique". Blizz really needs to remember what some of us were drawn to the game because it took a little brain power to play. I think by them dumbing it down for 7 year olds to play isn't fair for the rest of us. I personally think it makes for a better overall player if they have to learn something in order to play the character. Vanilla wasn't perfect but its what made the game what it is today so maybe lets look back and get back to what made us play in the first place.

@Axona: There was never any "brainpower" to begin with. What "brainpower" was required for speccing according to some kind of cookie-cutter build that everybody else was already using? On that note, there was no real sense of "uniqueness" either, and Heaven help you if you tried to make a truly unique build. I experimented with that once, and douchebags like you couldn't shut up about how I was such a terrible player for trying it. Maybe that's why you're complaining about these changes; you cant stand the though of losing an opportunity to be an !@#.

The changes are here to stay. If you don't like it, quit your subscription and cry at EJ along with all the other sods who get hard from looking at spreadsheets all day.

@Nokrad: "If you don't like it, quit your subscription" Blizzard frowns on people who say this.

Also, not everyone had such lacking abilities preventing them from thinking their way through talent decisions without consulting a guide. And frankly I didn't care about the OMG UR DOING IT WRONG crowd, I just out dps'd them and stuck their feet in their mouth.

Any one know if you get the mount if you pre bought from game stop they say that mist has two prices 60 and 80.

@Hammerbrothe: Both should come with the mount & pet. The $60 version is the deluxe, while the $80 one should be the Collector Edition, which has a couple more things with it. But both should have the mount & pet.

I just played with my DK since they change the talent tree or perk as you wish, I find it just to easy at least for tanking, I kind of miss the old way, I just think that they made it to please the kids playing. it's my opinion of course, I'm still not sure I will buy MOP, if I do it will be really just to enjoy the time talking with my friends I think!

@Yanaran: They just simplified everything for all the whiners playing. That's all they did. Pretty much impossible now to have a unique spec of any sort. Everyone will pretty much have the same spec, so now it all comes down to the player, period. Not a big fan of the tree changes, but I'll deal with it.

The PvP has broken, you cant kill together if you are level 90. Let's say that Blizzard ruined it. They are doing it for noobs whos got killed so easy. For an example, Warriors have Second Wind that renegate the health if you ared 35% below. So, you can kill together. PVP HAS BROKEN!

All I will say is this, Blizz should have lrft the tree alone. This new one stinks.
The old tree was fine the way it was. It wasn't broke so my fix/change it?!

In all honesty after reading some of the comments I had to post my thoughts on the matter. The new talent system is in all honesty a perk system because once you choose a spec from the ones offered to you it would basically max out everything that used to be in that spec tree. So yes you lost getting to choose exactly what you wanted from it but you gained ALL of it. And the new talents just give you more room to optimize your own characters performance. complain if you want to but I am all for the new talent system. Go blizz

@Klownkilla: True, but the whole system diminishes the 'carrot'. People look forward to being able to make a choice at each level (even if only superficial) and that is mostly gone now. I understand that in the end, 'it' is all still there, but our enjoyment of the game is greatly dependant on how it is fed to us.

eh I have not played in a while I will try it out, but I must say I am not excited about the new talents. I hope that I am wrong, but it looks like a major step in the wrong direction to me. Again, I hope I am wrong..

I love change and I am all for this new talent tree stuff. Finally if I want to use a talent that is only available on one tree I can use it even if my specialization is another. As a mage I love the idea of not passing up a cool frost talent, though I'm spec'd in arcane or fire. That is totally awesome. As a warrior I enjoy using Bladestorm in Fury spec. Only drawback is you have to learn your entire class again and having 6 end game characters, that's a lot of learning.

Like in Life, change happens. It's your choice to deal with it as you please. You can roll with the punches, see it as a challenge to adapt to or sit in a corner and pout in your pint of ale.

This game has changed things entirely to make it enjoyable for every player if you think that they made it easy then you are not playing right. Enjoy the new content that is being released and stop crying about all the little !@#$ that everyone has to deal with, like many have said and i will again its a game u choose to play and pay for so if u don't like it stop being an addict and go do drugs or something.

With such a large decrease in talents, I'd say it's a global simplistic view of customization even if the talents are totally different. It's not a bad change. Just a change. Find your rotations, what you like or dislike, customize your WoW~~ instead of finding the "highest dps possible." Explore your character and what suits you instead of the cookie; baked, tested and spoon fed to you....then claiming it as your own genuine skillset.

I am loving the way you guys at blizzard have given back the warlock powers that we once and grew to love in BC and before about time. but must say wish we could choice a more open talent tree this tree of talents can be easier for the new people to wow but it dose take away the fun in knowing your toon as an experience player. just my thought is all

I've only just been getting back into WoW. From what I have seen the game has really improved (although clearly other peoples opinions may differ). Even warlocks have made a comeback, jumped in a dungeon as my warlock and the other two dps classes were also warlock, first time I've seen that happen.
