Mists of Pandaria Talent Calculator Now Available

As previously announced at BlizzCon 2011, class talents are undergoing some significant changes in the next World of Warcraft expansion. Learn more about these changes and test out different builds for all your favorite classes with our new Mists of Pandaria Talent Calculator, available here!

We’re excited to be able to provide players with the opportunity to explore this new talent system and look forward to hearing your feedback. As with all previews, we ask that you please keep in mind that Mists of Pandaria and its class talents are still under development. This means that many of the spells and abilities you see in the Talent Calculator are not yet final and may change before release.

I like the talent tree the way it is, but I understand the desire to try something different. I also do not like the way the game is getting overly simplified , but again I understand the reasoning. That being sad, I do not have to like the game in its new state and I don't. The thing that I want to see in WOW above all others, that will make me love the game and make it infinitely playable, would be faction betraying. Please? Also, bring back fire nova totem. I miss it.

Im debating between a rogue, shaman, warrior and dk. What will be best in MOP for PVp? (between those clases)

I don't know why you guys don't think this is a bonus. As long as they keep it the way they have it on the beta where every time you switch specs it resets your talents then every thing is fine. There is no need for 3 specs. For me, I play Holy Pve/pvp and Ret pve/pvp, I have to switch every time I want to do something else( pvp or pve ). If it stays like it is on the beta I just have switch specs then I can choose the pvp talents I need. Same thing with Pve, just choose the better pve specs.

I agree with Griever. having only 2 spec to switch between is annoying especially on a a class that has tank, healing, and dps specs. Furthermore there are pvp and pve variations of each spec. It would be great to alteast have 1 more spec to switch between if not 2.

im all for improvements but i dont think this will benefit, i think i read somewhere that blizz wants players to be able to custormize there character more? ok then instead of just giving us a primary and secondary spec how about giving us a 3rd talent spec or 4th or 5th or 6th even . i dont know about some people but i hate having to visit class trainers to do changes to my spec, why not just have the ability to add another tab for it? like what we have for the equipment manager but for talent specs? Im sure alot of players would like to have this. and as for picking 1 outof 3 talents every 15 levels, boring. then that talent system for Diablo 3, let WoW have something different, and im sure you guys can come up with better talent ideas too. Like a talent for redirect having no cooldown at level 90 is the best you can come up with, please.

I have to throw my hat in with those that really do not see the point or improvement with this new talent system. Also, have found it supremely dim as a talent 'tree' ...in its current form, Blizz could just as easily toss the entire thing out the window.

Bad.

I like it, something new for once, every expansion will always have their faults, but the satisfaction will go on. There are two ways to reduce the hardcore gamer's from whining about this "change". Either boosting up the graphics/artstyle, OR change the WoW auction to be like the Diablo 3 auction :)

im on the beta and i dont enjoy what you've done with talents at all. im a pve spriest, i dont want to convert to pvp and healing i just want to be my spriestly pve self. i suggest you do not change it, it's perfect the way it is and cata wasn't really that long ago, so dont change the talent system it hasn't been around long and it fine.

@Othniel: You've also made me feel like an idiot that you've dumbed it down this much, most of the wow population isn't 12 and stupid, just the new kiddies are.

since the beta doesnt work now its not gonna be easy to see how it will make the next xpca feel, but it does work in other mmo games and if players know their class and role that suits them best it may be the best idea yet, but if the noobs dont do their build for thier chosen role correctly it will make that class look fail. its all about the way ppl work the new system as to whether it works or if it should be put back the way it was

I think that the new system is made to dumb down the talent system in order to have a easier time for the people who don't understand the system completely.... this game doesn't need a new talent system the one right now is fine.

I agree with Holyymidget, there is nothing wrong with the talent trees now, so why change it? i think is will just make it more confusing for new players. i wouldn't recommend changing it

Blizzard is really good at building a bigger world with each expansion, and the designers are good at adding new aspects to the game, but the core of the game should stay the same, I think. I don't want something I like to be reinvented. Dual-talent specialization was a masterstroke. It added alot to the game. Changing the whole concept of class talents, reinvents something that didn't need to be reinvented.

@Bakkafgar: its already unbalance the way it is now.. they shouldn't keep it the way it is. lvl 80 twink mages owning geared 85s (still happens my server)? 80 twink spriests killing other 80s with just dots and kiting.. nothing else? way unbalanced..

I don't see too much of a difference between playing a panda and being a 33 year old man who plays a blood elf chick. Or a talking cow. Or a pink-pigtailed gnome. As far as the new trees 'dumbing it down,' I wasn't aware talents had ever been complicated. Most people go straight to Elitist Jerks for every change/question anyway. People make it sound like speccing has always been an exciting art that requires subtlety, vision, and intellect. There are a lot of talents that every spec will take every time. Why not just make them baseline? Was clicking points into Revealing Strike or Howling Blast that much of a rewarding mental workout? A choice you're qualified to make only after 6 years of played time? Seems more like mindless MMO busy work to me. I think it'd help if people explained why they just LOVE the trees right now and how the new ones will destroy the game.

I never thought I'd ever say this after investing 6 years of my life on this game and being such a fanboy for it but after watching numerous people play the game I really think I'm leaving because of this expansion =\

The core mechanics are now in place and I'm already getting mixed (more negative than positive) reactions from what I've been seeing

Yes people I know it's still way early in the beta but you ALL know nothing significant is going to change now

Seriously upset. New talent tree. AGAIN! leave well enough alone.
Pandarian what a joke. Who cares any way im not deleting a character to start a new one.
Blizz you almost got it this time though ... a race that is neutral ... at least for a while
Why not a truly neutral race that can quest and journey any where but depending on the amount of time spent with one faction or another reputation gains move their allegence from one side to the other. Like neutral to friendly with Horde moving from neutral to disliked with Alliance.
Bliz you had a great chance to do that last patch with Goblins and blew it.
Blowing it again.
