Mists of Pandaria Talent Calculator Now Available

As previously announced at BlizzCon 2011, class talents are undergoing some significant changes in the next World of Warcraft expansion. Learn more about these changes and test out different builds for all your favorite classes with our new Mists of Pandaria Talent Calculator, available here!

We’re excited to be able to provide players with the opportunity to explore this new talent system and look forward to hearing your feedback. As with all previews, we ask that you please keep in mind that Mists of Pandaria and its class talents are still under development. This means that many of the spells and abilities you see in the Talent Calculator are not yet final and may change before release.

since the beta doesnt work now its not gonna be easy to see how it will make the next xpca feel, but it does work in other mmo games and if players know their class and role that suits them best it may be the best idea yet, but if the noobs dont do their build for thier chosen role correctly it will make that class look fail. its all about the way ppl work the new system as to whether it works or if it should be put back the way it was

I think that the new system is made to dumb down the talent system in order to have a easier time for the people who don't understand the system completely.... this game doesn't need a new talent system the one right now is fine.

I agree with Holyymidget, there is nothing wrong with the talent trees now, so why change it? i think is will just make it more confusing for new players. i wouldn't recommend changing it

Blizzard is really good at building a bigger world with each expansion, and the designers are good at adding new aspects to the game, but the core of the game should stay the same, I think. I don't want something I like to be reinvented. Dual-talent specialization was a masterstroke. It added alot to the game. Changing the whole concept of class talents, reinvents something that didn't need to be reinvented.

@Bakkafgar: its already unbalance the way it is now.. they shouldn't keep it the way it is. lvl 80 twink mages owning geared 85s (still happens my server)? 80 twink spriests killing other 80s with just dots and kiting.. nothing else? way unbalanced..

Blizzard has to keep changing the product or else it will not be relevant and will lose people. That is a rule in business. Always reinvent the product or it dies.

I don't see too much of a difference between playing a panda and being a 33 year old man who plays a blood elf chick. Or a talking cow. Or a pink-pigtailed gnome. As far as the new trees 'dumbing it down,' I wasn't aware talents had ever been complicated. Most people go straight to Elitist Jerks for every change/question anyway. People make it sound like speccing has always been an exciting art that requires subtlety, vision, and intellect. There are a lot of talents that every spec will take every time. Why not just make them baseline? Was clicking points into Revealing Strike or Howling Blast that much of a rewarding mental workout? A choice you're qualified to make only after 6 years of played time? Seems more like mindless MMO busy work to me. I think it'd help if people explained why they just LOVE the trees right now and how the new ones will destroy the game.

I never thought I'd ever say this after investing 6 years of my life on this game and being such a fanboy for it but after watching numerous people play the game I really think I'm leaving because of this expansion =\

The core mechanics are now in place and I'm already getting mixed (more negative than positive) reactions from what I've been seeing

Yes people I know it's still way early in the beta but you ALL know nothing significant is going to change now

Seriously upset. New talent tree. AGAIN! leave well enough alone.
Pandarian what a joke. Who cares any way im not deleting a character to start a new one.
Blizz you almost got it this time though ... a race that is neutral ... at least for a while
Why not a truly neutral race that can quest and journey any where but depending on the amount of time spent with one faction or another reputation gains move their allegence from one side to the other. Like neutral to friendly with Horde moving from neutral to disliked with Alliance.
Bliz you had a great chance to do that last patch with Goblins and blew it.
Blowing it again.

I like and am very excited for every part of MoP except for this talent system. Ive been playing this game between 10 toons for six years now. I play alot and I feel that its taken me years to develop the ability I have in PvE and PvP that I have today. Specs make such a huge difference in this game right now, and thats what makes it fun and challenging is the variety of play styles a person has. Someone who just bought MoP can heal just as well as someone who has been doing it for the seven years and I know alot of people dont like that. You made the game way to easy in Wrath by telling people how to get to max level and holding their hand, and now your making it that anyone can play just as well as another person, regardless of prior experience? I dont like that....

No talent system looks good and will add much needed variety, pandaren race look ridiculous and detract from the dungeons & dragons theme of the game. If you really want to play Kungfu Pandas, go buy a wii.

This has to be a joke, this is insane. These tier-talents are awful. Thank you for ruining arena. Not that it wasnt already broken but this just made it worse. Im considering quitting WoW when this comes out.... I'll go play one of your competitors games. I've been playing since vanillia (lvl 60 cap) and this is by far your worst idea to date. But then again blizzard staff has never listened to the community so why start now! Scroll down and actually read the comments... Do something useful. Cross realm groups FANTASTIC, Real ID FANTASTIC, Tier talents..... I dont play World of Warcraft to feel as if im in a jack black animanted movie. Panda really? Did you even try to think of something a little more creative. Im not sure on this but just a guess your monk starts out at lvl 55? another one of blizzards fav's. Monk is going to be incredibly overpowered just like the Dk was and still is. Heres an idea why dont you let players start off one charecter of any class at lvl 55 per realm!!?

Personally I'm not a fan of the new talent calc... I've played this game back when the level cap was 60... I've been through all the talent calc remakes/remodels and, in my opinion, this is by far the worst of them all. You're basically taking a game that millions of people have played for years and dumbed it down for people that qq about other races being op, or because speccing seems to complicated for people... This is seriously a slap in the face for someone that's played the game after a few months of the original release. There is nothing wrong with the talent calc system now so why the heck does blizz insist on fixing something that isn't broken?

Well, his next expansion will pose some challenges to all, no matter what you pick. But that challanges will be the exciting part :). As for all those QQing, YES we know you hate changes, YES, we know you !@#$% bout every little thing. Guess what? You have 1 option still... QUIT! It will do you wallet good. But I'm sure more than 96% of you will still play MoP. IMO, I'm anxious to play MoP an face the new challenges. Keep it up Blizz!
