@Digerati - Good eye. However, even more telling than the gate of FL being closed in the first pic above (mine) is the ICC gear I have on while leveling. Since the pic is mine, I'll also tell you that it's an old SS that I did not pose specifically for this event, and I did not enter the SS into the contest until January of 2012 (the same month it won for). So, your theory, while not proven false, is not true in this scenario.

In the last one that I saw, a player was doing the Hallow's End event from last year in Blade's Edge Mountains, and in this one, it appears that the gate is still closed for Firelands, meaning it was taken sometime around the start of Cataclysm about a year ago. They're cool screenshots, but just from these details it looks like the winners are picked from a growing shared pool instead of a fresh one every month. Not that it's a bad thing. If yours didn't win this month, there's always hope for it to win in future months. Have to imagine that pools pretty huge now though. =p

Is there anywhere to view all the winners? As I understood it there should have been 2 winners per month, but I can't seem to find them all.

I am disappointed in the winners I've seen, for the most part. I'm sad mine wasn't chosen, and I think it was better than some of those I've seen...but I'm sure there had to have been even BETTER ones. If those even better ones were the ones being picked, I would have no problem.

Congratulations to the winners, but it's sad to see that these are the best of what's submitted. Do people really have no imagination? =\ A background shouldn't be enough to win these contests. Oh well. I'm not the judge, I guess.
