Noblegarden

Noblegarden

Though its origins are steeped in druidic festivals from times long past, the current incarnation of Noblegarden is a contrast between ancient traditions and modern interpretations. While some races of Azeroth try to stay true to the original spirit of the holiday, others prefer a more lighthearted approach -- in essence, looking everywhere for festively decorated eggs and collecting the goodies found within. One tenet all can agree on is that the feast of Noblegarden is meant to bring communities together to share the joy of life and friendship.

During Noblegarden, the towns of Azeroth and their immediate environs are liberally sprinkled with Noblegarden eggs for players to collect in a ravenous frenzy -- er, in the spirit of sharing. These eggs contain treats fit for commoners and kings alike!

Event Details

  • When:   March 31 - April 6
  • Where:
  • Alliance:   Azure Watch, Dolanaar, Goldshire, Kharanos
  • Horde:   Brill, Razor Hill, Bloodhoof Village, Falconwing Square
  • All Factions:   Shattrath City
  • Learn More: Wowhead, Wowpedia

Activities

  • Egg Hunt: Search in low-level towns throughout Azeroth for brightly-colored eggs; some are well-hidden, while others are in plain view. Their contents vary, but they most often contain chocolate (the delicious currency of Noblegarden), rare special items, and ‘vanity’ items (like toys & costumes). Some eggs will have truly surprising contents.
  • Race against fellow heroes in an egg-gathering blitz to grab as many Brightly Colored eggs as you can! Increase your speed in egg hunt areas with the Egg Basket, available from Noblegarden Vendors and Merchants. .
  • Daily Quests: The Great Egg Hunt rewards you with gold and humanoid-transforming Blossoming Branches for delivering excess eggshells gathered during your travels.
  • Noblegarden Merchants & Vendors: These professional hoarders hope to benefit from your egg hunting by exchanging trinkets for Noblegarden chocolate. They’ll trade food, toys that transform others into rabbits (or rabbit-like humanoids), festive clothes, mounts, and more for your leftover confections.

Item Rewards

Mounts
  • Swift Springstrider: This mount has a chance to be found inside Brightly Colored Eggs, and it’s also available from Noblegarden Merchants and Vendors in exchange for chocolates.
Pets
  • Spring Rabbit: Summoned with the Spring Rabbit’s foot, this fuzzy companion can be found in Brightly Colored Eggs or purchased from Noblegarden Merchants and Vendors.
Vanity Items
  • Seasonal Clothes: Tuxedos, Elegant Dresses, and Spring Robes that allow you to plant flowers at will are all available from merchants (and crammed inside Brightly Colored Eggs).
  • Circlets: Adorn yourself with differently colored rabbit ears in ancestral Noblegarden tradition!
  • Blossoming Branch: Transform another into a rabbit, ensuring that they can’t hide from the spirit of the season!
  • Noblegarden Egg: Get into the egg hunt planning by placing a Brightly Colored Egg almost anywhere your heart desires.

Other Rewards:

  • Achievements: Noblegarden currently offers a total of 120 achievement points, split over 8 achievements and 1 meta-achievement. *Please note that all objectives for Achievements between the Horde and Alliance are relatively the same though have some minor differences.
  • Titles: the Noble, granted for completing the meta-achievement Noble Gardener.

*To get you in the spirit for Noblegarden, we've added a new wallpaper.

I hate this holiday.

On Moon Guard, there are tons and tons of people chasing the eggs. It takes hours to get 20, let alone the 50 or so needed to help get the other achievements. I was going for the World Event achievements but that won't happen. :(

This holiday isn't fun. :( :( My joy doesn't rise on the 3rd day. :( :( :(

Since I'm done w/ the event I'll share my strategy that worked last year (for my old main) & once again this year (for my current main). I can't speak for other servers/factions, but the following worked for me.

1 - Choose an area you feel comfortable with and that you can memorize rather well. (For Horde, I like Falconwing Square).
2 - Familiarize yourself with the spawning boundaries. Venturing beyond these will waste your time.
3 - Plot a loop/path that takes you past the largest number of eggs while minimizing deviation from that path. ie. the fountain in the center of Falconwing Square & the benches around it are spawn points, but are more visible than the spawns along the fences/buildings/wagons, etc.
4 - As you make your rotations you'll see new egg spawns you probably didn't see the first couple of times. Once you're familiar with the spawn points it's rinse & repeat. Just run around in circles grabbing eggs.
5 - Because some eggs spawn over/under/in/on objects, a lot of camera pivoting is involved. I noticed the eggs under the benches/wagons or on top of the wagons were typically missed.
6 - The speed boost of the basket has a short CD, so use it frequently. It's silly not to.
7 - You can open & loot the eggs while running around. This is worth doing, particularly if you have a lot of free bag space. I got the mount from one of the eggs around the 250 mark, so I was able to discontinue the farming.

*There were probably around 8-12 people farming at the same time, but the eggs spawn quickly, and it really is a matter of who can snatch them up first.

Hope this helps anyone who's struggling to finish it off by tomorrow night.

@Valtaa: When have there ever been eggs in Shattrath? The event has always been confined to the starting areas of the four races (per faction) that were available when BC came out.

The secret to farming the eggs is not about time of day you do it, although late at night or early in the morning does help. The secret is very simple, the person camping a spot does NOT own that spot. I see no problem with you camping right next to them. They might get mad but don't escalate it to a situation where bad words be spoken. Just simply say I'm sorry but there are x number of people and x number of spawn spots. Best of luck. If they persist further, then put them on ignore. The key to the eggs is persistent farming. If you get 5 eggs for every 10 spawns, you're still farther ahead than you were before. When the person leaves you will probably have that spawn spot to yourself for a short while. The trick to all of this is then once you have that spawn spot, it's only fair that you be fair to the person who comes and shares your camp spot.

@Gehn: Duskwood, eh? Is that a highly populated server? Just wondering because there is like probably more spawn points than you think. For example, Brill has 30 at least that I can think of off of the top of my head. Do you have that many people camping spawn points?

I ran around for quite some time and I managed to get everything, and I mean everything. I was trying to get enough chocolate to trade for the mount and somewhere around 425 I got the mount out of one of the eggs. Either way.. if it was listed I got it, and then some.

@Medusaeats: The eggs in Dolanaar are really well hidden in all of the bushes. They are probably the hardest to see, especially if people are running by places. I think Azure Watch has the most eggs hidden around personally.

"Disturbedone, take a break and relax a little. You look a little stressed out. The alliance is not going any where, unfortunatly." Hellscream tills me. So I go and start looking for these colored eggs. "Relaxe" he tills me. Do you know how stressfull it is fighting a goblem over a egg? Then if I find one, I might get turned into a bunny, really? The sad thing is, I can not stop myself from looking for this eggs, and the chocolate....mmmmmmmm.

Egg camping is a very real problem and not all of us can wake up early/stay up late to get eggs. Something needs to be changed about the placement of the eggs or how we obtain them.
How about the same random generating of an egg that happens when people farm low level mobs for lovely charms?

I would like to earn some Noblegarden achievements this year but considering how hard it is to get eggs with all the spawn campers, I'd say it's pretty much impossible. Especially since this is only a week-long event...

@Stillwind: Have you tried the Draenei starting area? I got ~700 eggs there with my mage today. I don't know how crowded your server is, but we had about 10 ppl farming at once, and there were plenty of eggs to go around. (There are a LOT of spawn points in that area too, and their fairly spread out).

@Stillwind: I thought egg campers would be a problem when they first started the noblegarden thing, but it's not really. If you know the pattern of the eggs, you can run around and get the eggs, there is alot of places the campers miss. I tried camping but I found that running around is the best. My rogue has almost all the achievments and she is on one of the high servers.

@Disturbedone: Same, I just ran around and around... there are so many spawn points you'd need to have a LOT of campers (20+) to cause issues.

As soon as you harvest an egg, another immediately spawns, and there are a lot of spawns points... check the perimeter of the spawn locations... there are a lot of strange ones halfway up walls etc.

@Stillwind: well considering most people that want the meta achieve like i did already have it so later in the week there shouldnt be as many people. besides if you only want achieves and not the mount you only need like 100-200ish eggs to eat/get items "if they didnt drop outta the eggs" the rest of the achieves are about other stuff.
